...brief problems with M6/5 roadworks. Once we found and entered the property, we loved the apartment immediately. Lots of space, well equipped, lots of comfort and a stunning view over Torbay from the patio. Steep ten minute walk to the seafront, but well worth it. We drove to Paignton to catch the steam train, took the half hour ferry trip to Brixham and visited local villages. We had lunches out and dinners in. A very good week, it was sunny every day and rained during each night. We set off home nicely relaxed and plunged into the hell of endless roadworks and traffic jams. Nice to be home. Thank you. ..., you need look no further. This is holiday luxury. Then there is the jewel in the crown - the view! Looking out through the huge windows you have a magnificent view across Torbay. It is glorious by day or night, and is fascinating if the sea mist rolls in and envelopes the whole bay in its eerie cloak. Situated high above the modern Abbey Sands development, it is very peaceful. The walk down to Torquay centre is pleasant enough and not too demanding (c15 mins). Walking back up is however not for the faint-hearted. Never has a £5 taxi fare seemed so reasonable! We were just 2 adults but the apartment is huge and there is plenty of room for 4. Everything you could reasonably need is provided. 8 The Bay was an excellent base for a wonderful holiday and we were really very sorry to leave. Enjoy ... ...years and for the past 5 have been at 8 The Bay, Torquay. I have found the company very easy to book online and are always very informative. The apartment is 5 stars and in a good location overlooking the marina and the bay. I would highly recommend this company for your holiday in South West. Submitted by Robert on 29/05/2016
