"We enjoyed our stay at Hillside Cottage over the Christmas period. It was warm , cosy and comfortable and we appreciated the Christmas tree and decorations. We liked the plentiful supply of towels and tea towels - very rare in a holiday cottage! The cottage is well placed for visiting Stratford and the Cotswolds . There is a bus stop at the end of the lane and you can easily go to Stratford or Oxford by bus if you don't have a car.Alderminster is a small village with no shop, only a pub. More plates, glasses and cutlery would be very welcome!"

"Cottage was tired looking , corners in kitchen and bathroom need a good clean. 3 peice suite in need of a good clean also, dirty looking.Dog friendly however on one occasion owner called thinking dogs had been left alone, left a note asking that dogs are not left in cottage alone. If this is a condition this should be stated in application conditions before people book this cottage.Garden not child friendly ."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Hillside cottage. It was clean and warm and well equipped. We didn't need to go into the games room as we didn't have much time as we were only there for 4 days. The garden was enjoyed by our dogs and it is fenced in. It is very close to Stratford.I only gave local amenities 8 as there is no shop in the village, but there is a pub and a village hall which shows films. All in all we had a very comfortable stay and will certainly return."
    Graham
"A very nice comfortable place to stay, this was our third stay at hillside cottage and it wont be our last"
    Bryan
"Banister needs repair also the dishwasher could do with spring clean othe9 wise very good"
    Sue
"This was a lovely cottage with all the 'mod cons'. (We didn't use the dishwasher as we never had enough dishes. ) We had a lovely week with 3 children. Very convenient for the surrounding tourist attractions. There is a supermarket just up the road and loads of places to eat nearby(within 5 miles)"
    William
"the cottage was good but slightly date in decor, a good location for Stratford (5Miles). The games room was very dirty/dusty with paint peeling badly and not all equipment was working, some equipment had warped due to damp."
    Stephen
"We stayed at Hillside Cottage end June/beginning of July 16. The cottage was lovely, situated in a scenic village, large garden which was thoroughly enjoyed by our 2 Jack Russell's. It was a great location, central to many places to visit in the Cotswolds and beyond. Overall, a lovely holiday was had by everyone."

"Really great quiet location for visiting Stratford and the surrounding area. Upstairs has three nicely appointed bedrooms which seemed recently refurnished and decorated. Downstairs is a good size lounge. Sofa and soft chairs comfortable but with dog hairs present around the bottom of them. The kitchen could do with updating particularly the dishwasher as it looks very old and doesn't really leave pots clean even with new salt. Downstairs shower takes a while to warm up but otherwise the water was very hot. Very warm cottage. Large maintained garden boarding onto fields but has some hazards for pets and small children."
    Barbara
"The cottage was very comfortable and warm. The heating was brilliant, easy to adjust and very effective. The garden is not dog proof as the hedge has lots of gaps, the kitchen was reasonably equipped but a large jug would have been useful. Best gas hob I have ever used. The owners had made the cottage very user friendly and I think one of the nicer cottages we have stayed in."
    Ian
"Overall the property was good. Location was great for Stratford, Warwick etc. reasonably well equiped. The king size bed is very uncomfortable in the main bedroom. Could do with a damn good clean and dust as it was dirty under the chairs and beds. Doing the round up at the end of the holiday checked our son had not put anything under the beds etc and the dust in the master bedroom is a total disgrace."
    Dan
"Games room is a joke. Pool table is warped beyond use, table football is warped to the extent you can't turn the players, table tennis table net broken and paddles have no rubber surface. Dishwasher doesn't clean dishes, and previous occupants didn't seem to care and left food clad plates and bowls.... shame the owner / cleaner doesn't check this and repair or replace the dishwasher. Floors dirty and surfaces covered in dust and cobwebs.Nasty yellow stains on the duvets. Good location though."
    Helen
"A lovely place to stay, particularly appreciated the games room when the weather was bad!"

"Really warm and comfortable. Spacious but still with a cosy cottage feel. Location great for visiting local attractions - lots to see and do in the area. Enjoyed having no internet access for a week but could do with a few more bits and pieces in the kitchen for cooking."
    Judith
"Hillside had everything that you would expect from a holiday cottage and more besides. It was quaint & cosy but still managed to have lots of room. There were lots of little extras provided, such as dishwasher tablets & toilet paper, that made it even better value for money. The location was beautiful, overlooking a field of sheep. The garden was a good size and very secure for our 5 year old. It is really well placed for Stratford, Birmingham and attractions like Warwick & Kenilworth Castles. We had a lovely stay & wouldn't hesitate to recommend it or return to it ourselves if we are in that area."
    Chris
"Pleasing stay in a pleasant cottage. Good garden and location for exploring."
    Sally
"Great holiday. Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. The only thing I would mention was that the duvet, once I stripped the cover at the end of the holiday, was stained. Also we struggled to get into the games room. Apart from that everything was fine. We would definately stay there again."
    Kevin
"Great location for nearby attractions. Games room was well used by the children (age range 7 to 14)"
    Ivor
"we found this cottage not very clean and needed paint touch ups floor boards up stairs was so nosy when you wanted toilet down stairs you woke every one up only hade very limited tea spoons. shower was not great. the cottage was in a great location to get to every thing.SORRY for the above ."
    Graham
"very nice cottage to stay at, our second time here and it wont be the last."
    Vilma
"The cottage had a few very large spiders webs. We had to buy a rolling pin and pie dish to be able to make a meat pie and there were very few tea spoons. The lawn had not been mowed."

"Lovely cottage, great location and owners were very nice and helpful.Could have used a tumble dryer rather than a dish washer, but overall we had a lovely stay and would stay here again."
