"Always feel at home 🏡 and comfy bed,,,,, lovely neighbours Gill and Peter.,, everyone is friendly,,,my sanctuary x"
    Julia – 15 Oct 2018
"Lovely little cottage, full of character and history, and very well placed and equipped. Not really ideal for the elderly or unsteady though, because the bedroom floor is extremely uneven & the bathroom is downstairs, via a twisted staircase, so night-time trips to the loo are difficult & precarious."
    Paul – 5 Oct 2018
"Had Avery nice comfortable relaxing place to stay for four days. Hot water tap does not function correctly in the kitchen, and shower above bath a little poor for this time, not a complaint but would make such an improvement for future visitors or our selfs on returning if these Two items could be improved many thanks"

"Stratford on avon great. Hathaway cottage not for us."
    Confirmed guest – 25 Aug 2018
"Perfect location to venture out to all the National Yrust properties."
    CHEVEAU – 11 Aug 2018
"Downstairs bathroom.uneven floors upstairs.dark and gloomy downstairs and upstairs.no privacy in bathroom. No garden. A long way from amenities, we had no car, had to walk into Stratford, no where to buy a loaf or a newspaper. All told it was miserable in cottage in Shottery and if I go there again I’ll pick accommodation in Stratford where we had an amazing time."
    Denise – 28 Jul 2018
"Stayed many time s over the years always comfortable"
    Robert – 14 Jul 2018
"Deceptively small,no garden , dark and downstairs bathroom"
    MARK – 30 Jun 2018
"Nice traditional cottage but in need of updating! Small front garden only, which has a shared path. Really good located for easy access to the beautiful Cotswolds. First time we stayed in a cottage but will do it again next year."
    CARTER – 2 Jun 2018
"The perfect retreat in a wonderful thatched cottage with hundreds of years of history in an ideal location."
    Stephen – 26 May 2018
"Photograph of cottage is misleading, as you are in fact getting the small cottage behind the door in corner. The rest of the property you see is other cottages either side, one of which is above the kitchen, bathroon and part of the living room. Overall feeling is cottage unloved and in need of a deep clean especially living room flooring. Situated on one of the busiest roads in Stratford,as traffic constant all week. You are asked to keep dogs down stairs and off furniture, but no door or stairgate and sofas n cushions were covered in small white dog hairs. Rear living space window is frosted with bars outside making it impossible to open them as there's a garden directly behind it which belongs to another cottage. Be aware you will hear everything they do out there."

"Lovely cottage to stay in ."
    Neil – 5 May 2018
"Stayed here quite a few times. Love Shakespeare country and this charming thatched cottage places us at the heart of it.Have recommended it to others who have then stayed here and feel the same."

    Diane – 16 Feb 2018
"Very quaint cottage in good location. Very clean and well equipped."
    Julia – 10 Feb 2018
"Lovely weeks holiday in early February 2018 in this lovely cottage. Ideally situated in Shottery as is a nice walk into Stratford and has its own parking. Stratford as all the Shakespeare places to explore plus the view from the RSC Tower is amazing. The other attractions we enjoyed were Stratfords butterfly park and the British motor museum at Gaydon near Warwick. It was not too busy being early season and would be nice to come back to in the summertime."
    Jon – 28 Dec 2017
    "Great stay - nice location"
    Patricia – 8 Dec 2017
"Lovely cottage apart from the bathroom being downstairs. Great location and plenty of things to do. Lovely thatched roof."

"Excellent cottage in superb location, loved every minute of our stay, missed not being there this week !"
    Alison – 8 Jul 2017
"This historic cottage is full of character and sympathetically and comfortably furnished, and with good modern facilities and equipment in the kitchen and bathroom. It may not be suitable for those with mobility problems, as the stairs up to the bedroom are narrow and the bedroom itself has a very uneven floor. The patio courtyard outside is pretty, but with very limited privacy due to the proximity of the neighbours, who during our stay in the summer sat outside a lot or kept their front door open. They were, however, very friendly and helpful, giving advice on local services, etc. The area in general is quiet and a good base for easy access to Stratford on Avon and the surrounding area"
    Karl – 1 Jul 2017
"Cottage in a good location for Stratford and Warwickshire, cottage quaint looking from outside, poorly decorated inside, no view out back from lounge bars at window, adjoining cottage walk over rear half of cottage, rear cottage garden stretches width of cottage so people and barking dog feet away. Broken glass on kitchen shelf when arrived and four split cushions on sofas. Small patio area to front of property very uneven for seating area cobles and crazy paving , not ideal"

    Maria – 8 Feb 2017
"Beautiful cottage in a good location for visiting the surrounding area and within easy walking distance of Stratford."
    Nigel – 23 Jan 2017
"We enjoyed a nice few days in and around Stratford. The walk into town from the cottage took longer than we expected. The cottage was very quaint and we had a lovely relaxing time."
    Eloise – 27 Dec 2016
"Beautiful Cottage, in among others like it with a fenced off section with farm animals. A typical Christmas get away. The cottage was clean and tidy and had plenty of space for the four of us (2 Adults and 2 toddlers), however there isn't a landing to the bedroom, or doors you can close for a baby barrier so you have to use the dining chairs as a safety gate. Also we had to put quite a few things in the cupboard (due to toddlers and possible breakages) as there was a lot of additional ornaments/ lamps everywhere.I love old buildings, however I did find I had to adapt to the dustyness of staying in a cottage like this. First day/ night we were coughing and itching quite a lot. The cottage is very warm, which we didn't expect, so that was nice. There was everything we needed available... Cutlery/ crockery/ glasses/ oven dishes etc so it was nice not having to pack or go and buy any additional items to get by. There was however some codiments that had been left on a shelf that were opened and out of date and also guest biscuits that I believe we're left there as a nice gesture but unfortunately were out of date. Overall very happy with our stay, and the neighbours were more than welcoming and kind. Would highly recommend."
"A very relaxing stay in this lovely quaint cottage. Very well equipped and although the oven didn't work when we arrived it was soon repaired. Don't bring a spirit level with you, this place has moulded itself over the years into it's own character. About a mile from town but a pleasant walk and the station is not too far either. Stratford is a good base for visiting so many other places if you get tired of Stratford. Birmingham by train is only 50 minutes away and recommended. All in all a lovely cottage and a relaxing place to stay."
"Ideally situated for visiting everything connected with Shakespeare and also places like Warwick Castle and Coughton Court. Very pretty cottage of the same period as Ann Hathaways Cottage, which is just up the road. Lovely fireplace and wonky floors, just right for the two of us. Comfy four-poster bed.My only criticism was the shower curtain, which gets messy. A screen would be a better option."

"Bathroom needed a better clean and possibly an update. Uncomfortable mattress. But a overall a very enjoyable and peaceful week helped by very friendly neighbours and a great location."
"Lovely thatched cottage in the heart of Shakespeare country, stayed there 4 times, will be ack"
"The cottage was lovely, in a perfect position and clean but there was no garden or patio to sit out unless you wanted to be overlooked by the neighbour and the windows of the cottage next door. With the weather being very hot it would have been pleasant to have a more private area to sit during the day and evening."

"Enjoyed holiday would recommend a visit."
"Very warm and comfortable stay.Well situated for local attractions.Within walking distance of Stratford and a few yards from Anne Hathaway cottage."
"Lovely cottage in a great location to see Stratford upon Avon. Was exactly what we were looking for a beautiful old cottage"
"Very cosy cottage in a great location. Equipped to a high standard. The local pub, the bell, very good value for money with very friendly and helpful staff."
"Beautiful cottage in lovely location. Easy walk to Stratford via local pathways. So many thatched cottages - wonderful! The cottage was peaceful, warm and cosy and we loved it :)"
"Visited many times. Unfortunately this time heating had all been switched off so we had to wait until 2nd day for any heat ."
"We were generally happy with the accommodation provided. It was certainly the oldest place we'd ever stayed in and was generally comfortable.Everything was there for a pleasant stay and we liked the peace and quiet. We felt that the cutlery and crockery could do with a spin through a dishwasher as it was a little grubby. All in all we had a nice time."
"Very quaint and cosy. Really enjoyed the cottage,so relaxing. Note uneven floor in bedroom so care in dark as toilet is downstairs. Safer to leave a downstairs light on. Food at pub down the road only average, although plenty of nice ones a short drive away or 25 minute walk to town. Nice area for cycling."
"This cottage was just lovely! Comfortable and quaint. Cosy and charming. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay. Ideally situated for all that Stratford has on offer. We will definitely be going back. Would recommend."
"Enjoyed the stay ,within walking distance of Stratford.Lovely area.Cottage comfy ,bathroom and kitchen need a little TLC."

"We had a lovely time here - there are few local amenities but nothing is too far away. Not perfect but nothing that should stop you enjoying yourself."
"Nice well appointed cottage with a good location. The decor is well thought out and appealing. I felt the cleanliness of the kitchen especially the oven were not up to scratch. Also the pots and pans need updating."
"Wonderful cottage. Just like a little dolls house!"
"Lovely little cottage in a great location. Very clean, with every appliance necessary (kitchen appliances, hairdryer, iron and board). Floor a little uneven upstairs but this was expected given the age and nature of the property, and this wasn't a major issue. Would definitely stay here again."
"We enjoyed our 4 night break in this delightful cottage in a beautiful setting. It is a cosy, comfortable retreat and only a short distance from Stratford. We parked up and for the rest of our stay either walked or used taxis which were reasonable and plentiful. The pub down the road is very convenient for quick bar food. The service there was very good. We look forward to returning one day soon."

    "Lovely cottage would visit again"
"The stairs are dangerous for anyone not 100% fit. They are VERY VERY STEEP. The bedroom floor is so dangerous, you cannot take 2 steps on the same level, we could only walk round the bedroom if we held onto some thing to keep our balance. by the end of 4 days we were feeling very ill through the unevenness of the upstairs floor and steep stairs. To get out of bed then walk down the to the bathroom during the night when one is only half awake was very frightening. This cottage needs its age and ability revaluated before someone has a fall."
"Great location with an easy 25 min walk into Stratford on safe paths. Wifi was good to have. The cottage was characterful, warm and homely but the kitchen and bathroom were tired looking compared to similar priced cottages we've stayed in. Some of the kitchen pans and cooking utensils need replacing. The Washing machine paint was separating off at its lower edge and others had said it doesn't dry clothes well. The owner was very helpful leaving contact details if needed. We enjoyed our stay and would go again off peak if visiting Stratford. Good value at off peak prices but would have been disappointed if paying peak rates."
"Lovely cosy warm and well appointed cottage in a good location. 5 minutes in a car or 15 mins by foot to Stratford upon Avon town. We had a wonderful week that we would love to repeat by staying there again."
"Had a lovely Christmas stay at this quaint cottage. It was warm. comfortable and a perfect base for Stratford. "
"Fantastic, cozy little cottage that is perfectly located to explore both Stratford and the wider area. Wouldn't hesitate to return. "
"Beautiful bed, lovely location,we really liked the cottage. It was easy to find and easy to park at the cottage. One of the best properties we have been in."
