The two bedrooms consist of two super king size beds, both with ensuites. Downstairs, the open plan layout is very airy, and showcases very modern kitchen and living rooms.
Outside there is a large garden with a patio and outdoor table and chairs which is to be made the most of in the summer months. Situated in the small village of Ridge and close to the village of Chilmark. The nearby character village of Chilmark sits on the Wiltshire side of the border with Dorset, two miles from the bustling small town of Tisbury, while Chilmark boasts numerous stone and thatched cottages, many made from local Chilmark stone.
The Cart Barn is the perfect base from which to go and experience historical British landmarks such as Stonehenge and Longleat, with it providing a relaxing in which to enjoy a holiday break.
Chilmark is one of many villages scattered across the Wiltshire countryside, with others such as Tisbury, hosting local shops about a mile away from The Cart Barn, while the Beckford Arms in Fonthill Gifford is half an hour walk or five minutes’ drive. This area of South Wiltshire offers walking, riding and cycling in the natural beauty of the surrounding countryside.

The clever open plan design maximises the space on the ground floor and the large windows ensure that the main area is beautifully lit (even during a horribly grey February). The upstairs rooms are also very well planned and, like the living areas, benefit from stylish furniture and tasteful artworks. The location is lovely, close to Tisbury on the Wiltshire/Dorset border.

The owners were very welcoming and provided us with lots of suggestions for what do do and see. The converted barn was well equipped and felt warm and cosy. We particularly loved the welcoming cake and fresh flowers on arrival.
