"We stayed at this house for a weekend in November with two other families. The house is lovely, especially the under floor heating, and we had a great time. There are a couple of things that could be improved, such as better curtains on the downstairs windows, the existing ones are pretty see through and given that the property is right on the road they do not afford a lot of privacy. Also, the description states that there is parking for four cars, which makes it sound like there is reserved or ..."

" Also firefighters were not supplied & had to go to local shop. "

" who in turn text me on my personal phone to ask me to keep the noise down???? felt like a naughty school kid. We wouldn't have minded as much if we were being overly loud but we were just in the hot tub chatting and laughing???? this did have an affect on the holiday slightly due to us worrying about our volume constantly. This is a shame because the property was amazing. "

" We've just got back from a week at the Old Storehouse, Bradenstoke which is a renovated old village shop in pleasant surroundings (beautiful scenery, quaint cottages, a pub just next door and a children's play area & dog walking park about 5 minutes stroll away). The cottage has all the amenities you could wish for, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer along with WiFi and a wood fired hot tub & indoor log burner (although we came in the summer so it was never used), plenty of cupboard and fridge/freezer space. Also there was plenty of board games, dvds and books in the property which was a pleasant surprise. The hottub was lovely but does take a while to fill (2-3 hours) and subsequently warm up (a further 2-3 hours plus). We were lucky enough to arrive early on the Friday as there was no one in the property as allowed by the owner, which was greatly appreciated and allowed us to make use of the hottub on the day of arrival. Wiltshire is simply beautiful and the location of the property is good (25 minutes from Avebury stone circle, 30 minutes from the beautiful Lacock, an hour from Stonehenge), there's plenty to do in a relatively close proximity if you drive. The locals we spoke to were very friendly and happy to offer you advice on things to do in the area. A negative was that we had noise complaints from nearby neighbours. We're a large family but we have a baby and 3 children between 6-10, we're hardly a rowdy stag do but I think because the village is so quiet, any noise travels so possibly bare that in mind if you visit. As a holiday cottage, people are going to be enjoying themselves but it wasn't nice thinking that we had to have a curfew to appease neighbours. One other negative is that we ran out of logs on the Sunday evening and didn't get more delivered until Wednesday afternoon meaning we had to pick some up out of our own pocket in the mean time. The landlord did apologise for this and stated it was an oversight on his part by forgetting to re-order. If you arrive and think it's likely the logs will need replacing I suggest you do it ASAP. Overall I will give the cottage five stars, the noise complaints are not the landlords or the properties fault, sensitive neighbours and a quiet village are, if you forsee yourselves being noisy, I would possibly reconsider. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't stop from recommending this cottage to others in the future. "

"The owner of the property was absolutely lovely and very helpful when I rang up to ask about picking up the key - offered lots of tips for getting the most out of the property (particularly the hot tub!)."
