    Darren – 3 Dec 2018
"It was a great relaxing break. The only major disappointing aspect was the Talk Talk wifi. It basically didn't work. We could connect to it but it couldn't connect to the internet. We tried everything we could think of to get it working to no avail. So DON'T expect wifi even though it is advertised as having it. The kettle was full of limescale so we descaled it after popping to the shops and buying a descaler. Also the shower was very weak. Apart from that it was an ok time out for us."

"Great location for country walks with dog and the bonus of having a nice local pub - Rose & Crown within easy walking distance. :-)"
    Laura – 13 Nov 2018
"Is a really nice place to stay, lovely living room and plenty of space. Has everything you will need. Only thing we were surprised at was having to pay for the heating on top of the rental fee"
    Kay – 3 Nov 2018
"Overall we were happy with the Carthouse. Facilities met all of our needs and the location was great. However we found the mattress uncomfortable and the buzzing noise from the meter on the wall in the bedroom irritating as it kept us awake."
    Petra – 20 Oct 2018
"The Carthouse was very nice, shame there was road works throughout our stay which was nothing to do with the owner. Everything was very good very quiet, the only thing that we didn't like very much was the shower as the water didn't drain away very well"
    SIMMONS – 27 Sep 2018
"The garden was perfect for our dog and secure. Cottage was clean, comfortable, spacious and well equipped. It was homely and both beds were comfortable. Parking and access excellent. Lots to see and do. A couple of negatives, the washing machine and dryer were not in the cottage, and were not free. This I felt should be in the details. The washing line in the garden was unusable. Also the heated towel rail was broken when we arrived and when we reported it, were told it wouldn't be fixed during our stay and they knew. Only way to keep towels dry during the week was to use the dryer which we still had to pay for."
    Anthony – 11 Sep 2018
"Although we really enjoyed our stay in the cart house it would really benefit from an update in the kitchen and bathroom and perhaps a little more general maintenance.’”"
    Cheryl – 1 Sep 2018
"We’ve never been to Wiltshire before but was very happy with this area and the cart house was so clean and homely everything you needed was there also the garden was great as we have a puppy the owner was lovely and helpful and welcoming nothing was to much trouble we would stay again as was so peaceful"
    Gail – 11 Aug 2018
"Lovely peaceful cottage in quiet location but ideal base to visit lots of places nearby. Nice friendly owners. Would definitely recommend."
    peter – 31 Jul 2018
"Many years ago no doubt the cottage was very attractive but it is rather tired looking .The information given needs updating. It in the details, washing m/c, tumble drier but they are not in the apt. ,thay are elsewhere and there is a charge. The terraced garden photography is clever as your immediate view is a demolished building and it's foundation. Privacy level is limited although it is very quiet and peaceful"
    Eileen – 22 Jul 2018
"A real gem. If you want to get away from it all, with an excellent pub within walking distance that serves good food, your own private woodland with swing and very nearby is plenty of history, dating from long barrows of prehistory to medieval churches this is the place for you. Ideal for dog owners. Really lovely, helpful owners. Will definitely be returning."
    Peter – 21 Jul 2018
"Lovely peaceful break. Cottage was very well equipped and comfortable."
    David – 8 Jul 2018
"fabulous location, stunning weather, tranquil and peaceful, nothing to not like"
    Ray – 7 Jul 2018
"There was not everything mentioned on what was available like no washing machine no barbecue we had to borrow owners after they cleaned it The cooker was very dirty inside dead flys on window ledges we think whole kitchen is in need of a make over very dated oldOverall we did not think this was value for money The WiFi was so slow often did not work so difficult to find places to visit. There was no welcome packAnd no information folder to information to emergency number neared shop etc . Therefore we felt we could not put any comment in visitor book as we only had negative comments. Overall a disappointing property."
    Ali – 3 Jun 2018
"Quiet location, a bit off the beaten track. Friendly owners on site. Pub and childrens' play park within 15 minute walk, along a country lane. Nearest shop 10 minute drive away. Large barn conversion, plenty of room for the 3 of us. The main downsides are; the sofa bed in the lounge was uncomfortable, my husband used a spare duvet as an extra matress topper. The other main downside was the kitchen had so many pieces of cookware (saucepans, casserole dishes etc), there was no cupboard space to store any food. There was no mobile phone signal in the area of the barn, but we used the free Wifi to send messages via Facebook. Some people may be bothered by the cobwebs in the barn, but it is a country location."
