About this property

Positioned at the end of its own private driveway within the owner's Bison and Elk farm, enveloped by Wiltshire and Dorset countryside, is Bush Farm Annexe. It is the ideal escape to the country for a couple looking for somewhere to enjoy lots of walking and exploring, with a homely base to return to. Rustle up something delicious in the compact yet amply equipped kitchen and enjoy a lovely night in at the dining table with a bottle of wine to wash it down with. Later, move through to the lounge and unwind into your evening by the warmth of the woodburning stove before retiring to the double bedroom. The L-shape conservatory showcases fabulous views over the wildlife pond, where you can sit with a drink and take in your surroundings as you discuss plans for the days ahead with your loved one. A warm summer's day will invite you out onto the patio for a chilled drink and you are welcome to visit the owner's 'American Indian Tribe' museum on-site, as well as his farm shop and greet the Bison and Elk within the grounds. You are in an enviable position for lovely walks at Cranborne Chase and Wiltshire Downs AONB or on the Blackmore Vale, as well as opportunities for cycling and stargazing at night. Everything you need in the annex. Loved sitting by the pond or in the conservatory watching the birds. We will be back. Thank you

The cottage was warm, cozy and clean and the bed was lovely. All we needed was there. We loved sitting near the woodstove. The owners are very nice and helpful people. It’s amazing to see and hear all the birds in front of the house, white doves, chickens, guinae fowl! The last ones were sleeping at the tree near the big statue of the bison! So lovely to see! A few minutes walk and you are in a beautiful, mysticall, enchanted small forest. You can also make a beautiful farmwalk and see deer. The bison now were in the barn, but when we were at the campsite in may and september you could see them walking at the hillsite. We also love the donkey and the small goats. You can have a lovely stay all the year round. We are looking forward to our next stay! Paul and Erica from The Netherlands

The walk around the farm and woods is beautiful we saw the bision and calfs and even a baby elk ,the wildflowers looked lovely with lots of different butterflies. The cottage is comfortable and was quite cool in the heatwave the conservatory was very hot but with both doors open was ok ,the wi fi is much better this year. There is a little farm shop on site selling fresh eggs and a few other item . Colin and Pepe the owners are lovely and make you feel very welcome we just love staying on this working farm and already missing the noisy gunifowl and cockerills .
