Situated on Thorganby Hall’s working farm, this charming brick and pantile cottage is surrounded by the lush countryside of the Lincolnshire Wolds. The former stable has been lovingly converted to provide stylish accommodation for 4. With roses round the stable door and delightful views over fields and through woodland down to the lake, the cottage makes the quintessential rural retreat.
The living space is sunny and open plan with a spacious kitchen/dining and sitting room area. The style is ‘country chic’ and the quality furnishings, stone floors and a cosy log burner make this a great space to relax. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/drier.
The superbly appointed garden room overlooks the woods and has views down to the lake. (Seasonal trout fishing by arrangement).
There are 2 bedrooms, one a double bedroom with 6ft bed, the other a twin bedroom that can be used as a double by prior arrangement. There is a bathroom and a separate shower room.
There is plenty of garden space around the cottage - this is unfenced to make the most of the rolling countryside views. You will find a terrace with a garden table, chairs and a brick barbecue. There is also a children's play area.

Thorganby is a small village situated in the north of the Lincolnshire Wolds and is a great base for exploring the rest of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Still relatively undiscovered, the Wolds are a wonderfully peaceful part of the country. With quiet country lanes, pretty villages and attractive old market towns, there is plenty to discover. This is a great area for walkers and cyclists with many fabulous trails. For something a little different why not explore this wonderful area on horseback?
The historic town of Caistor is within easy reach - just over 6 miles away. With independent shops, cafes and restaurants, this is a great place to while away an afternoon. The Viking Way, the 147 mile long distance path runs through the town, traveling from the banks of the Humber, all the way to Oakham in Rutland.
Louth, the capital of the Wolds is just 12.8 miles away whilst the medieval streets of the ancient cathedral city of Lincoln is 28 miles away. Spend the day at the races at Market Rasen (12.2 miles).
The stunning Lincolnshire coastline offers both traditional seaside entertainment and a lonely wild beauty. Head to Cleethropes, Mablethorpe and Skegness for family fun. For something untamed, nature lovers should make for Gibralter Point, Saltfleetby, Crook Bank, and Moggs Eye.
