Lovely spot for exploring the area. Not much by way of shops so be prepared. I would have preferred a shower but I can live with that for a short break. Local pub had real ales and was welcoming.

We had a lovely time. The cottage was cosy, but the couch was uncomfortable to sit on, the log burner was amazing especially in the evening on them cold and frosty nights, the log burner didn't have a safety glove to use so maybe the owners could get a new one. We had two small dogs with us, with the country walks and sightseeing the dog got abit muddy at times, I pack dog towels and dog blankets for every trip, but the cottage was lacking a washing machine which would of been really handy to wash dog towels and dog blankets etc. But apart from that it's a lovely cottage in a lovely location and the pub at the top of the road 'the grapes inn' was a lovely pub with friendly atmosphere and the food was amazing definately worth a trip.
