"Excellent facilities and situation to explore Yorkshire"
    DOUGLAS – 8 Sep 2017
"We very much enjoyed our cottage experience .The owners very helpful and pleasant. The cottage is ideal for two people who want to " get away from it all" for a few days. The furnishing and equipment are of a very high standard. The nearby (2-3 miles) FatAbbott pub provided service and food of a high quality. Note: the pub is an extensionof the neighbouring hotel. To get into York I can highly recommend the "DesignerOutlet "Park and ride service ."
"Perfect for us - lovely farm setting, lots of walks and cycling on hand and easy access to York, Beverley and the coast."
"Just had the most amazing time. A wonderful place to stay if you are desperate for peace and quiet."
"Very comfortable well equipped and in a perfect spot. Ideal for York and Selby but very peaceful and restful to get away from it all."

"Lovely cottage, beautiful setting, very clean and lovely proprietor. Bathroom set up quirky but lacking in some privacy"
"Great cottage and lovely and warm even with a huge open kitchen. Yes the settee is small and uncomfortable but so what! It's probably not ideal if it's your first weekend away as a couple given the a ablutions arrangement but at least you'll get to know each other very well by the end :-)All in all a great cottage that I'd return to."
"The layout of the bathroom/bedroom could have been shown better in photos. Although we'd gathered from the photos that there was no door, nothing prepared us for quite how open it was. Once we had the privacy screen positioned sensibly it wasn't too bad, but it was still a little inconvenient being basically in the same room as someone using the toilet. In spite of that, still a very enjoyable stay; the kitchen was particularly pleasant in the mornings - very bright and a lovely view."
"Great cottage ...everything you would need and more..lovely quiet location"
"Great place to stay! Massive kitchen for just 2. Superb views from the kitchen. Close proximity to York so easy to get about. Comfy bed. Some have commented on the size of the sofa but we found it alright. Didn't notice no wifi but wasn't much of an issue. Great place for biking. Highly recommended overall"
"A very nice cottage in a good location however not fond of the open plan bathroom in the bedroom. Should mention this on the website?"
"Beautiful cottage in a lovely location on a working farm. Spotlessly clean, modern, light and airy and extremely well equipped - fab kitchen! David and Hilary are friendly and helpful without being intrusive. They've thought of everything you could possibly need and more. It's also the cleanest farm we've ever seen - watching the twin lambing was the icing on the cake. Will definitely return!"
    "Perfect in every way"
"Lovely cottage in great location. Easy to get to York using Park and Ride and also surrounding points of interest. Would probably prefer conventional bathroom layout but not a major problem. Cottage owners lovely people. Saw roe deer most days and also the occasional fox from the cottage window. Would definitely like to return some day. "
