Westlands Country Park is part of our Wanderwood Lodge Holidays Collection, providing the perfect country retreat in the Borders of Scotland. With lodges nestled in the woodland, some with waterside views, Westlands Country Park is the perfect spot for exploring Dumfries & Galloway and is close to the market town of Annan.
The park has an enviable reputation for its clay pigeon shooting and is a world standard venue. Using only competition level equipment the shoot is a favourite for established professionals and new shooters alike. Add to this the tranquillity of the newly opened and well stocked fly-fishing lakes and you create the quintessential Scottish countryside break. For those who prefer to do less not more then simply pull on your walking boots and take a stroll around this beautiful countryside location and if that sounds too strenuous then do even less in your lakeside swim spa (Mulberry Lodge) or hot tub and simply let the others take the strain.
To gain access to your lodge a swipe of a credit or debit card is required on arrival for a £200 security deposit. This will not be taken from your account, only held. The money will be released on departure once the accommodation has been checked.
Bath robe & slipper sets are an additional £10 per person (included in Whistler, Mulberry & Portland lodges).
One set of towels per guest and one toilet roll per lodge is provided.
To respect others staying on the park, hot tubs and swim spas are not to be used after 11pm and noise must be kept to a minimum after this time to avoid noise disturbance to others.
The park has clay pigeon shooting and FLY fishing on site which are open seven days a week, 9am – 5pm. If you would like to take part in any of these activities during your stay, please contact the park directly either by email or telephone prior to your stay. Clay Pigeon Shooting needs to be booked in advance to avoid disappointment. Suitable for groups of any size and age, novices to professionals.

Very clean and modern. The lodge was smaller than expected and my personal opinion is that better use could be made regarding the layout. There is not much working area space re the kitchen area worktop and although the basics were supplied, I have stayed in larger, cheaper lodges where more essentials were provided , ie. there was no hand soap(s) for example and no hooks for jackets anywhere apart from the small wardrobe in the bedroom. However, the hot tub was excellent (especially in the current chilly weather) and as I say, very clean and modern with easy check in/out and staff were polite, friendly and informative and a nice wee supply of goodies for our dog.

Very clean, we have stayed in a beechwood before and you could see others opposite us in the hot tub previously BUT the bush’s have grown now so this isn’t a problem. Good facilities in the lodge. We love the lights and speakers built in. Cooking facilities and utensils you don’t need to bring anything as they have everything! Bed is super comfy and the dog had a great time.

This was a cute and very well thought out place, the kitchen was so well stocked with equipment that perhaps it left little space to work but we managed. The little touched didn't go missed a wee Xmas tree and a welcome pack for the dogs was so nice. It was very cozy and the fixtures were of a good standard. Thank you
