    Mrs Thew – 1 Sep 2018
"The cottage was well equipped and you could tell that the owner used it herself. We'd definitely come back. Good location too - nice and quiet but very handy for the main road and getting around. ..."
    Mr Weir – 1 Apr 2018
"Cottage has a lovely wood burning stove which made it cozy on cold evenings. The cottage would benefit from improved ventilation, as the bedrooms felt damp. A larger and more comfortable sofa would also make the lounge a better place to relax. The kitchen cupboards could be de-cluttered (no need for 5 frying pans) and this would allow more space for our food items to be stored in a cupboard rather than on worktops. However, it was a peaceful place and we would consider returning there in the future."

"Nice location for heading on day trips throughout Dumfries & Galloway. ..."
    Miss Fraser – 1 Dec 2017
"It is an ideal base for exploring the local area. As it was cold weather when we visited we were pleased that the cottage had a very efficient heating system. The multi-fuel stove was easy to use but some kindling in the starter pack would have helped (To be fair, there were firelighters in the cupboard under the kitchen sink). We will be recommending this cottage to family and friends and are already planning to re-book it next year."

    Mrs Gill Welch, Swadlincote, Derbyshire
"Had excellent access to the main routes and there was a lovely beach just a short drive away and it was so quiet. Countryside or coast was accessible within a short time. Enjoyed every day, wish we could have stayed longer."
Mrs Valerie E Jones, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire
"The cottage was lovely; very cosy and containing everything we needed. There were plenty of shops locally in Stranraer which was only a few minutes drive away. There were beautiful gardens to wander through about a mile away and we found Portpatrick a lovely little village. There were great walks for the dog as well."
    Mrs Christine Bradbury, Leigh,
"A cosy cottage in beautiful surroundings, it is central to be able to visit all parts of the coast, which we did. It also had a lane behind with woods leading to gardens and the mansion house which was ideal for taking our dog for a walk."
Mr Paul Duerden, Manchester, Greater Manchester
"The cottage was very easy to find, everything was as described and cosy with the fire lit. There was lots to do and see in the area, walking in the woods and watching the deer was amazing. Port Patrick was lovely and walking the coastal path was breathtaking."
