Whithorn itself is nearby, offering a wider range of shops and restaurants. Further afield sits the Galloway Forest Park for you nature lovers, boasting great walking, cycling and scenery to take advantage of. The Moorings is a lovely apartment in a beautiful little village.
Known as the Isle of Whithorn, this village is actually not an island, but a small village on the Scottish coast in Dumfries and Galloway. Amenities in the village include two pubs/hotels, a Post Office/general store, and a harbour. There is so much history in this area, from iron age forts to 11th century churches, and standing stones to castles built by Robert The Bruce. The 'book town' of Scotland, Wigtown, is a few miles away from the village, and the rest of lovely Dumfries and Galloway is on the doorstep.

For 2 people roomy. Chairs by table not comfortable and Wi-Fi only available outside by next door pub inconvenient.

Located in the harbour of the beautiful and fascinating community that is the Isle. Well and thoughtfully appointed. Everything you, and your pets, need is to hand. The minimal but cosy kitchen/diner has stunning views over the harbour, with spectacular sunsets guaranteed. The owner , Janine. is always availlable to help if needed. The aprtment is next door to the extraordinary Steam Pacvket Inn, where yyou can enjoy cask ales brewed aroung the corner, or superbly cooked meals featuring local produce - especially swafood. A comfortable and relaxing home from home to which we will certainly return!
