Single holiday let sleeping up to 4 guests in total
The Old Croft House is situated in a beautiful location in the crofting village of Aird on the Sleat Peninsular on the southerly tip of Skye. The cottage has outstanding views to the island of Eigg and back to Mallaig and Knoydart.
The cottage is a traditional old crofters house with a farmhouse kitchen and living room downstairs and two bedrooms (one double and one twin) and a small bathroom upstairs. There is an additional small bunk room downstairs for occasional use for 2 children or small adults.
There is a good sized enclosed garden with a driveway and small gate to the local foreshore/pebbly beach, with a bench and picnic bench from which you can enjoy the amazing views. We welcome well behaved dogs at no additional charge.
Aird is a remote village at the end of the road, with a 15 minute drive to the nearest amenities which are in Ardvasar & Armadale. The ferry goes from Armadale to Mallaig on the mainland and the village of Ardvasar has a local shop, petrol station, post office and some lovely craft shops and galleries, and a pub/hotel which serves food. The nearest supermarket is a 40 minute drive to either Broadford or Kyle of Lochalsh. One of the best walks in Skye, to the Point of Sleat starts from the village of Aird, so you can walk from the cottage.
