John
"Aultbea is a great setting with beautiful mountain and loch views. Friendly people in the area. S24951 is a well stocked and comfortable base. Kitchen excellent. Nice to have Velux windows for the sky views. Very pleasant to relax in the conservatory. Of all the places we have stayed in, S24951 has just about everything utensil wise in the kitchen and definitely the best allocation of local books and maps. Plenty of room and everything worked. Handy instructions from the owners. Showers stayed hot after long days out! Bathrooms spotless. Utility room very handy (access to a vacuum cleaner might be handy). Light sleepers might not like the bedroom above the kitchen: my hard-of-hearing relative kept getting woken by kitchen sounds by those of us up early. Would recommend a repaint in the living room. One issue we had on arrival was finding the king size bedding not cleaned properly. We found various stains on the bed sheet. We went to the washing machine and found it on a 30 degree cycle, so maybe it had not been washed on a high heat? With that one exception, we had a wonderful stay overall. S24951 is a property with lots of equipment and character in a lovely setting."
Jeanette
"This is probably our favourite ever holiday rental. The first thing you notice is how incredibly spacious it is - two bedroom suggests a smaller property but both bedrooms are enormous and the kitchen and living room are just fabulous. The utility room is a particularly nice touch, enabling us to do laundry out of the way and even hang up washing indoors on rainy days. The equipment in the kitchen is excellent, heavy pans, good knives, a very welcome espresso machine. The grounds are large and well kept, it's great to have easy parking and the location just a few steps from the water couldn't be bettered."

"This cottage is in an absolutely stunning location and the cottage well matched it's beautiful scenery. The view from the kitchen window brought forth a 'wow' one then went to explore S24951 and that too brought forth a 'Wow. '. It was beautiful. Well equipped, tastefully furnished and decorated very spacious. There was only two in our party but there is plenty of room to either gather or withdraw for a little peace. We would happily recommend to friends and family and certainly hope to return for a second visit. We have stayed at many holiday cottages over the years and certainly rate this in the top 3% of the ones visited. Superb. As is the housekeeper who keeps it immaculate."
