This peaceful and tranquil place offers a truly ‘get away from it all’ experience, and it offers an ideal base for exploring the Isle of Skye. Neist Point is only a short drive away, where you can enjoy a walk down to the lighthouse or fishing along the shoreline.

Dunvegan is also only a short drive away, where you will find the pristine coral beaches, Dunvegan Castle & Gardens and boat trips to the seal colonies. Also nearby, walk along MacLeod’s Tables, two flat-topped hills which can be seen from many parts of Skye.

Portree, the island capital, is ideal for shopping, and it also has a swimming pool and climbing wall. Also in Portree, visit Aros Visitor Centre, offering exhibitions, cinema, live music, comedy, dance, drama, theatre, galleries and workshops. There is also a family-friendly restaurant, gift shop and children’s play areas, so the whole family will enjoy this day out.

The Isle of Skye has so much to offer the outdoor enthusiast, with walking for all abilities, from The Cuillin for the experienced climber, or low level walking. "S71498 is a stunning cottage in a stunning location. The cottage has everything you would need and more. It has everything listed but also had a freezer and tumble drier which we didn't know about. Take some logs as it's very cosy at night with the logburner on.The cottage is on a hill and although there was a cottage below us and one above, it is not overlooked by any of the others.On arrival, the place was spotless. The views over Loch Pootiel and Dunvegan Head are just beautiful.There isn't anything local really, you have to drive to all the popular places. My partner did this while most days I was happy to relax in the cottage as I loved it so much and never got bored with the view.If you're looking for peace, quiet and somewhere secluded, this is definitely the place for you. I fell in love with it immediately and would love to return one day."

"Very tastefully decorated bungalow with all mod cons and a stunning view over the Loch. Could not have asked for more. The bungalow was cosy and so peaceful with an abundance of wildlife you could see from the windows. Bring binoculars!!! We will definitely return one day."

"Modern, tastefully decorated and well designed cottage layout, with bedrooms at either end and living space in the middle. Fabulous views over loch and high hill. Cottage was well equipped and clean. Not the place if you rely on internet connection (although available at local community centre). Quiet location and near to the impressive Neist Point. Stock up with provisions as shops are few and far between. The last part of the directions could be clearer by saying that the turning for Waterstein is signposted as a no through road. We enjoyed our stay."

"With views in both directions of Loch Pooltiel, this was a great cottage. It was spacious and modern. The tv didn't work during our visit, but our tv was out of the window. Saw porpoises and dolphins from the cottage!"
