"Great cottage, perfect base for a relaxing break."
    Peter – 25 Sep 2018
"We had a problem finding the cottage as the sign on the wall outside says "Kilcoy House" and this information isn't given in the directions. It is only when you take the turning for Kilcoy House (out of desperation because there is nowhere else to go) that you see the sign for Patterson Cottage on the right. When we phoned the owner for directions he didn't point this out to us either !The cottage itself, is nicely appointed, with good quality furnishings and bed linens. There are a few little touches it needs though. There is no where to put the shampoo and shower gel so you have to put it on the shower floor all the time. There are no loo roll holders on the wall. There is no bread bin and it would be nice to have a few board games. There was wood for the fire but we couldn't find any paper or kindling to set the fire with.Little things, I know, but they make a difference."

"We made a very good choice"
    Douglas – 11 Sep 2018
"Beautiful cottage in a lovely setting. Very comfortable. Owner paid a visit to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. Definitely a first class cottage and we would certainly have another holiday there. D&k.kilmarnock."

"My wife, me together with my two daughters (10,14) stayed for a week at Patterson Cottage. Our host Catherine was really nice, she gave good advice at what we want possibly to see as this was our first stay in the Highlands. The Cottage was really nice, just right for 4 persons, clean, well equipped - had everything you possibly could wish for. After our long daily trips (the highlands are quite big and as this was our first visit, we wanted to see as much as possible) it was nice to come back to such a nice cottage. The location is very good for a stay of a week, plenty to do there - though the drives to the location may take a little longer (we drove up to 1 1/2 hours), but some of the attractions we visited were nearby. We visited Eilean Donan Castle, Glen Licht, Glen Affric, Loch Ness, Dunrobin Castle, Cawdor Castle, Culloden Battlefield, Ullapool, Inverness, and some waterfalls and gorges - in an easily drivable distance there a the Glenmorangie and Dalmore distilleries (if you are into whiskey). As you can see more than enough to do for a week.So I cleary would recommend a stay at the Patterson cottage."

"We stayed already the second time there and we enjoyed it like the first time. The only approvement would be Wifi other than that outstanding ."
    Thomas – 10 Jul 2018
"Fabulous cottage of a very high standard with everything you need supplied.Owners took time to visit us to ensure we had everything we needed and even dropped off deck chairs for our stay."
    Jane and Jacques – 3 Jun 2018
"A fantastic cottage. First class. Lots of personal touches. We have been hiring cottages in the UK for the last thirty years and this is one of the best.We were welcomed by the owner with shortbread, oatcakes and a basket of a dozen fresh eggs. Later in the week he brought us a lovely homebaked loaf of bread. Delicious. Any questions we had were dealt with immediately. The location is very central, so we made a lot of trips. The view from the cottage was wonderful. We will certainly be back."
    Carole – 1 May 2018
"Ideal location to explore the area, beautifully restored cottage, very well equipped and comfortable."
    Claire – 18 Feb 2018
"We stayed here for 4 nights for a little get away, the cottage is lovely. A little cold, but fine once you buy wood and put the fire on and heating. Absolutely immaculate and clean, can’t be faulted there. If there’s any negatives, the big one would be no WIFI, not everyone needs it, but it would of been helpful on this particular trip. A bath would of been nice also, especially during these cold winter months, possibly a comfy sofa or chairs. The lounge area isn’t very comfy. Other than that I can’t fault it. Like other reviews there is a little noise from the main road but it didn’t affect us in anyway. All in all, a lovely property, great location, easily missed at night from the main road."
