"The venue was excellent for us and our two cocker spaniels, who loved the garden. I would just say the only problems we had was the lack of kitchen utensils and the refrigerator iced up a bit. It was really good for exploring Glasgow and Edinburgh and especially for New Lanark Heritage Centre, which was very interesting. We would definately like to come again."

"Very happy with accommodation, it was better than advertised on the web site. It was well furnished and very comfortable, it had a homely feel to it. Great location for scenery and peace and quiet. Garden with river nice touch, with garden well kept and maintained. We were two females on holiday so I had the bedroom and my friend slept on the sofa bed. Glad we thought to ask if there was any bedding for the sofa bed as there wasn't so we took our own. Might be an idea if the web site could just mention that - this is my only complaint.Would definitely go again if the opportunity arose and recommend it to family and friends.Appreciated the call from Ian the landlord week before holiday to check all was OK as he was working abroad. All in all a very satisfactory stay at S23540."
Keith
"I was actually on business but would definitely stay there for a holiday. It's location is perfect for visiting Glasgow and Edinburgh and also in easy reach of attractions in the Borders region. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped. The only downside was the lack of WiFi."
Martin
"Ideal location for cycle touring, walking and outdoor activities. Lovely views from cottage of surrounding area. The cottage was warm, welcoming and spacious. Plenty of equipment for self catering and information leaflets were provided for attractions nearby and further afield."
Cate
"I cannot say enough good things about this cottage. I booked a week as a quiet getaway for myself and my fiancé, and it was perfect. Location feels remote, but still somehow manages to be within easy reach of the motorway to Glasgow. Warm and welcoming on arrival, and throughout, we pretty much used the fireplace because we could, not because we needed to. Beautiful sunsets and a lovely sunrise or two over the river and hills... Bliss. We will be back next time the world gets a little much!"
Rob
"The overall trip was lovely and the cottage was very nice, however we were slightly perturbed by a mice infestation which affected our last 2 days.We could hear noises in the bedroom ( mousey ones!) and we were shocked when 2 sprinted out from underneath the bed.To make matters worse, we had 2 mice stowaway in my luggage which we have had to dispose and kill. Not the sort of end to a trip you want. There is evidence of old traps in the utility room and more needs to be done. There is obviously still Mice there and no warnings from the owner or yourselves about this problem."

"rural location very quiet and peaceful.Cottage smelt very damp on our arrival during Christmas week as it had not been used for 3 months. It needed a weeks heating put on priorto our arrival to air it out well. Will not return to this holiday cottage."
Mike
