About this property

A beautiful Edwardian country house set in peaceful grounds in the Conwy Valley. Ty’n Y Cae is located in a small village called Llanbedr Y Cennin (St Peter’s among the daffodils) and was home to many well-known artists in the late 19th century.

The holiday home looks over the Conwy valley and has lovely rural views that you can completely relax in. There is plenty of space to enjoy time with friends or family in and out of the house. There is even a wood fired hot tub if you fancy bringing your swimwear

You are well located to explore the Conwy Valley and with Snowdonia around the corner there is plenty on offer. Down the road you have Conwy with its famous castle and plenty of shops and restaurants. The completely refurbished kitchen is fabulous with electric range oven, induction hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and toaster. The utility room houses the washing machine and dryer. There is a large dining table in the kitchen that can seat 10 people.

The first floor has three bedrooms - A double with king size bed and wash hand basin. Another double with king size bed and a final double with king size bed and ensuite bathroom. On the second floor is a double bed and a twin room next door.

Llanbedr-y-Cennin, which translates to the Church of St. Peter among the Daffodils on the western side of the beautiful Conwy valley, The river Conwy runs through the valley, running into the sea to the north, at the town of Conwy, which is about five miles north of the village. Historic Conwy with it's Castle and walls is very popular as is Betws-y-Coed and both are within a ten minute drive. Also nearby are the world renowned Bodnant Gardens and its Welsh food centre, home to a fine shop and restaurant among other attractions. Comfortable beds, and plenty of comfortable sofas with a log burner in the drawing room to relax. There were 9 of us, (5 children) and there was plenty to explore outside for them, they loved the hot tub! Our hosts were lovely and really friendly. This is one of the best places we have stayed and our cousins from Denmark were so impressed with the cozy home! We will definitely recommend it and we will be back to stay.

There was 8 of us, and plenty of space to chill and relax. House sits on the outskirts of the main village with far reaching views down the Conwy valley. Quiet and peaceful but near pubs and a local shop. Accommodation was very spacious and well equipped. Welcome pack was very tasty and loads of information on things to do locally. Easy access to many walks, we opted for the waterfall footpath and the drovers path which was a scenic feast. Then back to the garden for a hot tub. All the guests enjoyed the character and spacious rooms. Lovely stay in the beautiful Conwy valley. The host recommended a few places locally to eat Sunday dinner. We opted for Y Bedol which was an easy 10 minutes walk and the best gravy . A great place to base yourself for a visit to this beautiful area.

Full advantage was taken of the hot tub inspite of November weather. The kitchen is large and well equipped, though the freezer was a bit on the small side, even for a party of only 6. The top floor rooms have very low doors giving rise to bumped heads; they could do with a bit of foam packing. Externally the property is beginning to need some attention to smarten it up, and the drive would not be passable in frosty weather. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much.
