Capel Cottage offers a heart-warming base to return to each evening, perfect for families looking to escape normal life and ramble the great Welsh outdoors. Enter straight into the sitting room, where a woodburning stove stands within a feature inglenook fireplace, offering a gentle warmth to the room as you kick back on the settee. Continue through a narrow passage into the kitchen, offering an extension area where most amenities can be found, including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and a washing machine, while a dining area is where everyone can regroup and discuss tomorrow’s plans. Climb the stairs to reach a split landing; one side leads into a lovely double bedroom with en-suite basin and WC, along with a small sun room where you can catch the sun, whilst to the other side of the landing there is a further double room and a bathroom, where you can choose between bath, shower over or even rainfall shower to prepare for the day. Grab a favourite drink and sit within the patio garden, offering idyllic views of the surrounding mountains, it’s a fine spot to catch that much-needed rest. Just a moment’s stroll away will bring you to a traditional pub as well as a casual dining restaurant to try, perfect if you fancy a night off cooking! Venture to the fascinating town of Conwy, just two miles away, where you can explore its castle and medieval town walls, or visit Britain’s smallest house and sample its charming eating spots. Those outdoor lovers will enjoy the Pensychnant Conservation Centre and Nature Reserve, where you will find wildlife and birds in abundance, or make the journey to the scenic Eryri National Park (Snowdonia), offering over 823 square miles of diverse landscapes and terrain. Tucked away between Llanfairfechan and Conwy, the little village of Capelulo provides an excellent holiday base for those looking to explore North Wales. The nearby town of Penmaenmawr holds a strong mining history, and today it has been adapted into a charming community, retaining many of its Victorian architecture, with many local pubs, restaurants and shops, a superb golf course and golden, sandy beaches. There is also Conwy, which provides further amenities, whilst the Isle of Anglesea is a much-loved destination.

The pub as good as next door was superb, a decent menu and very nice food, no need to go too far to eat! For late October the weather was quite kind as well, a real bonus. Parking on the road opposite was very easy and it's a lightly used route. Would recommend.

The cottage has so much character, is comfy and was a pleasure to stay in. The host was so helpful throughout our stay also, from offering more fire wood to clean towels. Thank you for much for having us and for our treats on arrival, they were much appreciated. Our only criticism would be the shower over the bath, we found it to be not very practical with water leaking on to flooring.

A perfect location as a base to explore the areas around. For the 2 of us it was fine other than the bed being a little bit small for us. We are used to a super king sized bed but the peaceful village was wonderful. Our friends joined us a bit later and also loved the quaitness of it. They did find the en suite a little bit tight so we shared the larger bathroom for the most part. There were welcome teabags, coffee, wine, milk on arrival to use if we wished. Literally a few steps away to the pub. Parking along a brick wall on the main road but all safe and secure. Lovely, lovely stay. Thank you.
