Glebe House is a former country rectory peacefully located in secluded gardens in the heart of Thomas Hardy's beautiful Blackmoor Vale. The tiny hamlet of Folke, with its charming sixteenth-century church and abandoned medieval settlement, is just three miles from the ancient town of Sherborne, while the Dorset coast (recently designated a World Heritage Site) is within easy driving distance.

Little Glebe is available as self-catering holiday accommodation throughout the year. Bed and breakfast is also available - guests have use of the suite. Enjoying wonderful views across the Blackmoor Vale to the Dorset hills beyond, the accommodation comprises a bedroom (with double or twin beds), en-suite shower room, sitting room (with Digital TV, dvd, video and CD Player) and a small kitchen (with electric cooker, microwave and fridge-freezer).

Guests have their own entrance and enjoy unrestricted access to the self-contained guests' accommodation, parking area and private garden. Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday and short breaks (minimum 3 nights) are available. Linen and towels are provided and laundry facilities and electricity are included - as is central heating during cooler months.

Groceries, fruit, fresh vegetables, milk and dairy produce, delicatessen foods, wines, newspapers (daily and Sunday) are available from the village stores and Post Office at Alweston village, half a mile away. There is a choice of good country inns/restaurants within easy reach and Sherborne, with its abbey, medieval bishops palace and castle, a wide range of shops, restaurants, leisure and cultural facilities, is just ten minutes drive away. The Dorset coast is within easy driving distance, as are the towns of Bath, Bournemouth and Dorchester. There is a regular (and inexpensive) train service to Exeter, Salisbury and London (Waterloo) from Sherborne station.
