The cottage dates from the 17th century and has 1676 inscribed in the lintel above the front door. The hamlet was where George III took the waters at the stunning hexagonal spa house, visible from the cottage garden. The deep inglenook fireplace in the TV room is of historical importance whilst the sitting room fireplace is thought to be of Jacobean origin.

The cottage has a stylish yet relaxed feel with lots of quirky touches. There is a cosy sitting room and a more formal living room both with open log fires, a conservatory for peaceful reading and an office area for catching up on emails.(if one must) with shelves full of books, DVD's, CD's and games.

The kitchen/dining room is a high ceiling, triple aspect room with plenty of wow factor from its antler chandelier to its free standing farmhouse furniture and table that will seat 10. The Lacanche range cooker will keep serious foodies from boredom with plenty of bakeware and cookery books to conjure with. There is a large boot room which comes in very handy for muddy wellies after long walks.

The 1st floor has three bedrooms and the family bathroom. Comfy beds with beautiful fabrics and linen, antique rugs and furniture mixed with designer touches make the look eclectic and welcoming. One of the 3 rooms can be made up as a twin or double bed. The 4th bedroom is situated on the ground floor off the large kitchen. The bedroom has a stunning king size sleigh bed and a stylish en suite shower room. There is access through a lovely stable door on to the beautiful garden which has a large patio and long lawn with a small stream running through it. Perfect for long summer nights with the candles lit . You can also access the garden through the conservatory doors.

The area is superb with the sandy beach of Weymouth and Olympic sailing facilities of Portland just 2 miles away and the Jurassic coast and Chesil beach are within a few miles drive. The stunning old village of Abbotsbury is just 7 miles away en route to the bustling Saturday morning market at Bridport. Lots to do if you can drag yourself away from the lovely cottage & gardens.
