Symondsbury Manor is a beautiful Tudor house set in 2.5 acres of grounds, the front lawn landscaped, the back garden left as natural habitat. The property is right in the heart of the village, standing behind the church and the rectory. There are superb views over the surrounding hills and countryside from the walled garden.

Cosy and comfortable inside, Symondsbury is decorated in a mixture of traditional and contemporary styles. The house has six double rooms (two with a four posters), five twin rooms and one single bedroom.

The house contains a large number of paintings both contemporary and traditional which have been collected by the owner, who is himself a painter, over a period of time. The interior is colourful and comfortable and lends itself well to weekend house parties. Thomas Hardy came to tea here in 1883 and Symondsbury Manor has hosted a number of well known figures in the Arts in recent years.

Symondsbury is a short drive from the thriving market town of Bridport and the historic town of Lyme Regis, an unspoiled seaside resort and fishing port on the world famous Cobb harbour. Surrounded by beautiful coastlines and countryside, famous for its geology and fossil finds, the area has now been awarded World Heritage Site Status.
