APARTMENTS
Thorncombe, Ryecombe and Shatcombe are newly built Apartments providing a peaceful environment with a private garden and wonderful views across the valley to Bridport and the coastline. Our Apartments are located near to our Highlands End Holiday Park and are available to you all year round including Christmas and New Year.
Ryecombe and Shatcombe are first floor apartments with two bedrooms (one double and one twin) with an ensuite bath in the double room and ensuite shower in the twin room. There is an open plan kitchen/lounge area with balcony. Televisions.
Thorncombe is a superb luxury ground floor apartment with 4 bedrooms (2 double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and 2 twin bedrooms with en-suite showers), kitchen/dining room and lounge. This apartment has the benefit of large patio windows which look out onto two patios and a well kept garden. One of the double bedrooms is fully equiped for disabled use and you are welcome to phone our booking office (01308 426947) for more details of the specification to ensure that it satisfies your requirements. The spacious kitchen area is fully equipped and this includes a dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine. A very comfortable lounge completes the accommodation. There is a digital Freeview‚ TV in every room, complimentary WiFi internet access, DVD player and Hi Fi/CD Player. The price includes linen (except towels) and includes use of the swimming pool and the gym.
The Apartments are heated with underfloor heating which is linked to an Air Heat Source unit to provide an environmentally efficienct source of heat. Visitors staying in the Apartments from March to early November have the park facilities on their doorstep.
BUNGALOWS
Our two comfortable Bungalows, Mowers Mead and Brimble Lawn give you the choice of a home from home. The bungalows have exceptional views across the valley towards the village of Eype and beyond to the rolling hills of Eype Down and Thorncombe beacon. The seaview gives you a spectacular location to watch both sunrises and sunsets over Lyme Bay.
On the patio of either bungalow you can relax, unwind or simply enjoy the sweeping coutryside and watch the rabbits playing in the field below the patio. It is only a short stoll from the bungalows along the coastal footpaths to Eype Beach and the local pub with its choice of local ales and food.
Brimble Lawn and Mowers Mead are modern semi-detached bungalows which gives a contemporary feel with central heating and double glazing, two bedrooms (double and twin), open plan living accommodation with a lounge, dining and kitchen area, shower room with toilet and a small patio area. Cots and highchairs are also available to hire. Duvets and pillows are provided and double and single linen packs can be hired, alternatively you may bring your own. A maximum of two Dogs are permitted to stay in Brimble Lawn. Mowers Mead does not accept dogs
FACILITIES
Highlands End benefits from over 35 years of improvement and enhancement, being the first park owned by our family. We are justifiably proud of the first class facilities that are on offer and hope you enjoy the use of these 5 Star Facilities.
The leisure facilities offer a wide range of activities to make you feel healthier and more relaxed no matter what the weather. They include an indoor heated swimming pool, sauna/steam room and gymnasium. We also offer a games room, children‚s play areas, tennis court and pitch and putt (there are additional charges for the facilities). Highlands End also offers a fully licenced bar with a wide choice of bar food for all the family and includes a comprehensive and interesting display of Fire Service Memorabilia. When the park is closed from November to March the facilities available are more limited but the indoor swimming pool, sauna/steam room and gymnasium are open throughout the winter except for a few days over Christmas and New Year.
When the park is open there is a shop for everyday groceries, drinks, frozen food and a variety of locally produced food and drink. Our Tourist Information gives comprehensive details of the attractions and places of interest in the local area.
Just 500 metres from a lovely unspoiled beach, the Œfive star‚ park is at clifftop height overlooking the sweeping Lyme Bay. The World Heritage Coastline offers wonderful walking in each direction with exceptional views that are truly spectacular, largely over National Trust land and farms.
Our all year round self-catering accommodation gives you, your friends and family the opportuity to visit this area of outstanding natural beauty and enjoy the many attractions available or simply just enjoy the scenery, take in the sea air and enjoy the luxury accommadation we have to offer.
