These 3 cosy cottages with logburners lie in pretty conservation villages in the heart of the Peak District National Park, are well located for walking with Monsal Dale and Millers Dale nearby and for exploring the abundance of Peak District attractions. Bakewell, Buxton and Chatsworth are just ten mins drive away and Alton towers is just a 45 min drive.
Tideswell is a village with the 'Cathedral of the peak', real shops, pubs and tearooms specialising in delicious local produce.
Cressbrook is said to be Derbyshires most secret and picturesque village and is a ten minute drive from Tideswell. It is very beautiful and flora and wildlife, including naughty badgers abound!
Bluebell Cottage, Tideswell Sleeps 8+1 (top three photos)
A pretty 17th Century cottage and former pub (one of the oldest buildings in the village), oozes charm and has been fully restored to a high standard retaining many original features.. It's tucked away in a quiet side street in the heart of Tideswell close to shops, tearooms and pubs. It sleeps 8 in 3 bedrooms (one bedroom has 2 double beds and en suite, there is also a double room and a twin room. The walled garden is gated and has patio furniture, small pond and BBQ and there are lovely walks from the door. Changeover day is normally a Friday. Freeview 32" widescreen HD TV and DVD in Lounge and small TV/DVD in master bedroom bedroom.
Butterfield Cottage , Tideswell Sleeps 6 (next two photos)
This scrumptious cottage lies a five minute walk away from Bluebell towards the edge of the village and overlooks a pretty Dale. It sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms - 2 are double and the twin room has an ensuite shower room. This cottage has recently been refurbished and fully redeorated to a high standard and has a sunny garden with patio furniture and lovely walks from the door. Changeover day is normally a Saturday. Freesat 32"widescreen HD TV and DVD.
Badger Cottage, Cressbrook Sleeps 6 (bottom photo)
This grade 2 listed 18th century cottage lies in heart of Cressbrook opposite the pub and has breathtaking views along Monsal Dale. It has been awarded a Greenwatch Award for the resoration of the cottage and offers every modern comfort whilst retaining its original charm. Sleeping 6 in 3 bedrooms it has an upstairs shower room with WC and a downstairs bathroom with shower over the bath, a sitting room with logburner and dining kitchen. A romantic cottage and perfect hideaway!
All cottages are very well equipped and have widescreenTV/DVD/CD and a range of books and games. Kitchen equipment includes hob and oven, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge, and ironing equipment. Household linen and power is included in the rentals.
Pets are most welcome but are subject to a small cover charge.
