  We realised that we were going into a quite compact accommodation but we were very impressed at the way things were laid out and there was everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable and relaxed in this tastefully decorated place.

  .The place was spotless and hygiene was up to a high standard. We were slightly concerned about storage but there was a wardrobe (plenty of coat hangers too)in the kitchen and there was extra storage under the bed and in the very clean bathroom.Private parking and a totally enclosed garden for our dog. The owners were very frendly and very helpful and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble when dealing with one or two of our extra needs.(being older we like a teapot teapot and long handled dustpan and brush and these were delivered promptly) Access to the beach was very easy,about 10 minutes and the local Seacroft bar provided good reasonably priced meals and drinks. Thank you very much to our hosts for making our stay so enjoyable.Another very good Sykes accommodation . Jacqui and Barrie September 2023

  We really enjoyed our stay at 'The Granary Cottage'.

  John and Marion are super lovely people and made us both feel very welcome. Granary cottage is situated in a small hamlet in the grounds of the host's farmhouse. In front of the cottage is a lovely garden area with a table and chairs for you to enjoy the peaceful and quiet location of this property . Indoors we were wowed by the welcome pack of bacon, eggs, mushrooms and sausages, homemade bread and jam plus a bottle of wine. What a lovely surprise that was ! Granary cottage is a warm, well insulated place and provided for a very comfortable stay. We loved the ambience of the place and enjoyed looking through the varied collection of books on the shelves. We will definitely return soon.

  We had an enjoyable week with two friends at Lifford Coach House.

  It was a tasteful barn conversion, with an upside down layout which worked well. The Village had a Deli cafe two minutes in one direction and a pub 2 minutes in the other direction serving good food. The Location was good, with plenty of places to visit. Although the property was quite well equipped - it could be improved by adding hooks to doors in bedroom and bathroom and mirrors near plugs to dry hair after showering. Additional crockery would also be better, as there were only sufficient items for one meal. (4 of everything) Points set aside, we would recommend this property, as it is finished to a high standard.   Booked this delightful barn as a last minute break and what a find!

  If you need peace and quiet, open countryside as far as you can see and hear nothing but cows, sheep and birds then this is it. Super dog friendly holiday and plenty of places to visit. Local pubs also excellent. I noticed a poor review regarding dogs barking. Well, this is a dog friendly place and we and our neighbours both had our dog with us. The first night in a strange place is always difficult so when dogs barking in the distance disturbed us all, and both our pups joined in, it was a nuisance but it didn't happen again!   Lockdown Lodge was the perfect place to stay for our last minute get-away.

  The Lodge has been thoughtfully converted to create the perfect accommodation and makes for a very comfortable & cosy stay. Excellent facilities have been provided throughout. The addition of the porch to the entrance provides ample storage for coats, shoes & luggage. The enclosed garden area was secure & perfect for our pet pooch. Location wise, the Lodge was just a short walking distance from the Seacroft Bar, shop, and seafront. We received a very warm welcome from Andy, the owner of the Lodge, he was extremely helpful and informative. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return to Lockdown Lodge.
