Lovely cosy cottage with log burner as evenings turn cooler. Dog friendly and walks start from the back door through the paddock, field and down to the Grand Union Canal and its marina. High Street has 2 pubs at either end, a very well stocked mini supermarket and fish and chip shop. Along the canal are 2 further pubs. The nearby former Georgian built Army depot at Weedon Bec has a free fantastic museum and antique and book shops on the former base. Neil, cottage owner, currently has his coffee and food cafe (much more!) there but moving soon. Neil is a very helpful guy and extremely friendly. Everyone in the village so friendly. Also recommend nearby Cannons Ashby National Trust Tudor house and beautiful gardens. We will be back!
