10 holiday lets sleeping from 4 to 610 luxury eco-lodges set in a secluded wooded valley on the North Cornwall Coast. The sandy Blue Flag beach and the bars and restaurants of the popular village of Porthtowan are just 5 minutes walk down the hill.
Wheal Sally, Wheal Rock, Wheal Matilda and Wheal Clarence are three bedroom lodges sleeping a maximum of six people
Wheal Fox, Wheal Mary, St Piran's Lodge, Wheal Lydia, Wheal Sparrow and Wheal Towan are two bedroom lodges and comfortably sleep a maximum of four people

The owners’ mission has been to combine quality, comfort and sustainability. Each lodge has been handmade by local craftsmen using Cornish larch from sustainable woodland. Along with grass roofs and log burners, each lodge has a luxurious hot tub spa – perfect for relaxing after a heavy day’s playing. The lodges are all beautifully furnished with quality funishings and appliances. They boast fabulous super- king size beds , Superfast broad band and Smart TVs. Glass covered decking enables al-fresco dining whatever the weather.
Little touches make all the difference – each lodge has an outdoor drench shower to wash off the sand and salt after a day in the surf. Each lodge is also equipped with soft ball tennis, badminton sets, Boule, buckets and spades and childrens fishing nets .
There are large open play areas – one with a badminton net. The others are ideal for tennis, cricket and football. Young children will love to discover the 'secret' bamboo hut.

Porthtowan has a safe sandy beach with plenty of rock pools for little ones to explore. There are plenty of opportunities for water sports enthusiasts - surfing, body and belly boarding. Kayak tours are a great way to explore Cornwall’s stunning coastline.
If you prefer your exercise to be a little dryer, the local riding stable is just 200 yards up the road. Walkers and cyclists are well catered for - the dramatic scenery of the South West Coastal path is 5 minutes away while the 11 mile Coast-2-Coast cycle path is just a ten minute cycle away. This gentle route along a former mineral railway track is almost entirely traffic-free and is perfect for families.
Adventure activities can be found at the Adrenalin Quarry in Liskeard and quad biking, hang gliding, paragliding and paramotoring are all within easy reach.
Wheals Clarence, Matilda, Rock and Sally – each sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms. Wheals Fox, Mary, Lydia, Sparrow Towan and St Piran's Lodge - each sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms.
Each lodge has:

• The very latest TV Technology - a 40” Panasonic Viera 4K Ultra HD TV with Advanced LED Backlight Design. A Smart TV enabled via Wi-Fi for Netflix, Freeview Play, Amazon and Catch Up TV.
• Flexible sleeping arrangements. Bedrooms may be configured as a super king size double bed or with twin beds. The master bedroom has its own TV and also an en-suite with shower.
• A family bathroom
• A full size four person hot tub spa (2 person hot tub at St Pirin’s)

• Log burner (With the exception of St Pirins which has central heating)

Wheal Matilda is accessed via footbridge across a small brook (only about 4 inches deep). The brook also runs through the garden areas of Lydia, Mary, Matilda and Rock. The decking areas of Towan, Sally and Fox faces on to broadleaf woodland giving plenty of privacy. The approach to Wheals Towan and Fox is past a very attractive waterfall.
