About this Holiday Cottage
The Swiss Chalet was built over 100 years ago and is part of the beautiful Ballamoar Castle Estate on the Isle of Man. A unique self catering retreat, The Swiss Chalet can accommodate up to 8 guests and children and pets are very welcome. Ballamoar lies on the Northern plains of the Island, just 6 miles from Ramsey and 17 miles from Douglas, the capital. This is a super location for families who enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the countryside. Guests at The Swiss Chalet are welcome to walk in the grounds and woods of Ballamoar Castle and take in some of the extremely rare species of plants and trees - many being over 200 years old.

Living Space
The Swiss Chalet's elegant dining room has a traditional walnut dining suite for those special evenings.
The large lounge is comfortably furnished with a TV, video and an open fire.
A spacious kitchen is fully equipped with a Rayburn, an electric oven, a microwave, fridge and a dining area - ideal for informal meals. All cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils are supplied.
There is also a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Five spacious and comfortable bedrooms.
Upstairs Master bedroom with a double bed and ample wardrobe space.
Upstairs - two twin bedded rooms and two single bedded rooms.
Downstairs wet-room with a shower, wc and wash basin.
Attic twin bedded room.
Upstairs bathroom with a bath, wash basin and wc, plus a separate shower area and separate wc.
Other amenities
All linen and towels are provided and changed each Saturday.
A cot and high chair can be provided with advance notice given.
Outside
The cottage sits in a lovely rural location with an enclosed garden and on-site parking. Ballamoar Castle is a private family home and tours may be available to discover the property's history by arrangement with the owner.
The gardens are not open to the public but guests are welcome to explore them and there is an outdoor pool. Please note that children must be supervised at all times in this area.
Availability
Dogs are very welcome and up to three well behaved dogs are accepted at an extra charge of £30 each per booking. Please ensure that your dog is kept to the ground floor of the property only.
Bookings of two nights or more may be available and charges range from £475 - please get in touch to discuss your requirements.
Other Accommodation
We now have a two bedroom apartment opposite The Swiss Chalet called The Loft. This is available for guests wanting more accommodation when using The Swiss Chalet and means we can offer accommodation for up to 12 guests.
Sebago Lodge in Ramsey is our sea-view property which is perfect for up to six people. Enjoy fabulous coastal views from every room and easy access to the town's great choice of amenities.
