About this Holiday Cottage
An attractive pet-friendly period property, The Old Post House was once the Post Office for Onchan village. Built in approximately 1889, it is a character property which enjoys a rich history and has been tastefully modernised to offer comfortable living accommodation, ideal for a self catering holiday. Enjoying a very central village location and not far from the vibrant town of Douglas and all its attractions, you are well placed for an enjoyable holiday on the Isle on Man. Due to the cottage's location in central Onchan, and a good, handy bus service, a car isn't a necessity.
Extensive recent refurbishment has been undertaken including new flooring in the inner hall area, the stairs landing and also in the lounge and diner.
Living Space
The Old Post Office provides comfortable self catering accommodation for up to 3 people.
The kitchen has a built in fridge-freezer and gas hob, electric oven and a microwave.
The lounge provides comfortable accommodation and is equipped with a TV and a radio cassette player.
The accommodation also has a conservatory, the perfect place to relax and unwind.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
There are 2 bedrooms which share a fully equipped bathroom, bath and separate shower. The spacious bathroom has a separate walk-in shower cubicle and larger than average bath.
One bedroom is fitted with a double bed and has a TV and DVD Player. This bedroom overlooks the secluded rear garden.
The other bedroom has 1 single bed and 2 windows overlooking the front of the house.
Other Things to Note
Well behaved small pets are welcome at no extra charge, unfortunately we are only able to accommodate 2 per booking. All cleaning, heating, towels and linens are included.
Please note - on street parking is available during the week, evenings and weekends, but it's possible to park across the road at the weekend. A local bus service is only minutes away.
Around and About
The Old Post House is very conveniently situated in the heart of Onchan village and is excellently placed for local bus services and a small parade of shops are just a minute's walk away. A car isn't essential as all Onchan village facilities are within easy walking distance of the cottage. Onchan is very close to Douglas, the island's capital, which offers a wide variety of shops and entertainment to suit all tastes. The 3 mile long Douglas beach is also within easy reach, as are lovely glens for those who enjoy walking. There are a number of very good restaurants and pubs offering excellent food in the area.

Well behaved small pets are most welcome at no extra charge. (2 Maximum). The cottage has a beautifully presented Conservatory and is located in the heart of Onchan village and all facilities are within easy walking distance. Douglas, the island's bustling capital is less than 2 miles away and there you will find a good selection of shops, restaurants and evening entertainment. Various off-season offers now available - please ask. There are a number of lovely walks near to the cottage.

Directions to The Old Post House
The cottage is very easy to find, go along Douglas promenade and turn up into Summerhill Road. The cottage is the last house on the right-hand side directly opposite a telephone box, and adjacent to a small parade of shops.
