Commanding spectacular views of the sea from every corner and surrounded by shady pine trees, Villa des Bosc is a luxurious holiday home close to popular sandy beaches.

Newly built and with a neutral décor throughout, this villa offers an abundance of space and light. Shades of marine blues and stone greys are nods to Villa des Bosc’s proximity to the sea.

The comfortable rooms in this villa are set over two floors, offering plenty of flexible accommodation. On the ground floor is a large living room with three sofas split over two levels, allowing everyone to enjoy their own space. Two sets of patio doors open out to beautiful terraces and stunning sea views. The fully-equipped kitchen has a centre island for quick breakfasts, as well as a dining table that’s perfectly positioned in front of doors leading to the outside space. Also on this floor is a bedroom with double bed, ensuite shower room and air conditioning. A guest toilet is a convenient extra feature.

On the first floor are a further four bedrooms, which all benefit from air conditioning. A spacious master bedroom features a double bed, ensuite bathroom with shower and access to a terrace with outdoor furniture. The other three bedrooms all have double beds, with two enjoying an ensuite with either a shower or bath. The bedroom with ensuite shower also has terrace access. A large bathroom with shower is for use by all guests. An office area with a table and sofa is a convenient space for anyone needing to check emails or catch up on work.

There are several seating and dining areas to be found on the terraces, offering breathtaking views of the immediate surroundings and beyond. A covered porch features a dining table for enjoying al fresco meals. There’s also an area with a sink and refrigerator for prepping some local fish and seafood before grilling them on the portable barbecue. A sofa and coffee bar are ideal for relaxing with a pre or post-dinner drink. The large swimming pool is surrounded by a lovely terrace where a selection of loungers can be found. Deeper into the plot is an extensive garden with a variety of trees and plants, all set across different levels.

Villa des Bosc is just over a 5-minute drive from Cala Bassa and its sandy stretches. A lively beach with golden sands and turquoise waters, it’s surrounded by woodland that creates sheltered conditions for swimming. There are plenty of wooden walkways that offer easy access across the beach, without having to navigate crowds on busier days. A range of watersports are available here, with the opportunity to hire pedalos and jet skis.

Providing another beach-based day out is Cala Conta, around 10 minutes from the villa. Also boasting fine sands and clear waters, the numerous rocky outcrops in the area make for interesting places to snorkel. You also get fantastic views of the little islands that dot the sea here, as well as the mysterious and uninhabited Illa des Bosc island.

Drive approximately 10 minutes further inland and you’ll reach the pretty village of San Agustín. It’s one of the most unspoilt villages on the island and gives the feeling of time stood still through its serene and laid-back atmosphere. One of the most attractive buildings in San Agustín is the whitewashed church that dates back to the 19th century. The square gives you some fantastic views of the open countryside that surrounds the village, including the beautiful San José hills. Despite being such a small village, there’s a restaurant that serves delicious local food as well as having its own art gallery. Be sure to stock up on some groceries and essentials from the shop before you head back to the villa.
