Relax on the sofa with your loved one in front of the large wall-mounted TV, or simply enjoy some drinks as the sun sets over the countryside. A spotless en-suite shower room presents the perfect space to freshen up before you venture outside to explore. Outside you can sit out for alfresco lunches on the picnic benches or the enclosed paddock area, or travel further afield to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside. The village of Upwell has connections to the much loved children's TV show 'Thomas the Tank Engine' with inspiration for the character 'Toby the Tram Engine' coming from the Wisbech and Upwell Tramway built in the 19th century, you can walk along part of the old rail route and take in the pretty village scenery as you go. Being right within the heart of the Fens, visit the 'capital of the Fens' Wisbech for a lovely day out, known for its elegant Georgian architecture, wander around Peckover House and Gardens now owned by the National Trust, take a tour of Elgood's Brewery and Gardens sample the award-winning real ales, or discover the local history at The Wisbech and Fenland Museum, one of the oldest museums in the UK, and also home to the original manuscript of Charles Dickens' novel 'Great Expectations' for any literary lovers.
