Overlooking the Quay in the pretty fishing village of Appledore. This spacious second floor apartment offers wonderful views across the Estuary to the water sports centre, sand dunes and popular beach at Instow (easily accessible in season via small ferry). Lobsters Loft is part of a character property that has been wonderfully restored with a delicatessen and tea rooms on the ground floor and a shared entrance (for 2 apartments only) with an original steep and winding staircase leading up to the second floor. A spacious open plan living area is light and bright and has a large window overlooking the Quay. You can relax on the large sofas and enjoy the constantly changing views of the ebb and flow of the tide and watch the activity of yachts, fishing boats and water sports on the estuary below. A well equipped kitchen provides facilities for preparing meals for family and friends with seating around a breakfast bar. A good sized and attractive master bedroom with King size bed and en-suite facilities can be found at the front of the property and has great estuary views. The twin bedroom at the rear also has en-suite facilities and overlooks the white and brightly coloured original fishermen's cottages that are part of the character of this picturesque coastal village. This room offers flexible sleeping as the twin zip ’n’ link beds can be converted to a Super-king on request. Appledore Quay is central to village life, with shops, pubs, restaurants and galleries whilst the narrow cobbled streets leading up from the quay give you a feel of the history of the village with flower decked old fishermen's and boatmen's cottages, inns and craft shops and galleries. Within a short drive, Instow offers a lovely sandy beach and access to the Tarka Trail, popular with walkers and cyclists. The popular seaside resort of Westward Ho! with its two mile stretch of sandy beach and the heritage and character of Elizabethan Port town of Bideford where you can take a boat trip to Lundy Island are also all within a 10 to 15 minute drive. For families, The Big Sheep and Milky Way are nearby and the cobbled harbour village of Clovelly is well worth a visit.
