Once inside Guinea Cottage you will see the sitting room with dining area and the kitchen where you will can prepare some wonderful family meals and snacks, all of which can be enjoyed while sitting and chatting or watching TV. Upstairs you will find two bedrooms and a bathroom. There is also a small lean-to at the rear of the property.

Guinea Cottage is perfectly located a minute’s walk from the beautiful views of Newton's Cove. Favoured by locals and children alike this little pebbly beach has great rock pools for crabbing. For those a little more active there are wonderful coastal walks leading round to the old Nothe Fort and harbour. Brewers Quay area and Hope Square are also just a short walk from the cottage, here you will find a choice of dining experiences, many with outside areas for that alfresco option while basking in the sun. Passing through Hope Square you will discover the pretty old harbourside where you can see the flotilla of working fishing boats or luxury yachts. If the fishermen have a good catch, you may purchase a fresh crab or appetising fish for lunch. With all the fishing boats going about their work along with luxury yachts, the harbour is a colourful and wonderful scene to enjoy. Across the old lifting town bridge is Weymouth town centre. In addition to the good selection of well-known high street brands, you will find a myriad of quaint little lanes with equally quirky shops. At the edge of town you will discover Weymouth’s award winning blue flag main beach, famous for its long golden sands and gentle shallow waters. With Weymouth often winning the UK sunshine awards, the benefit of Guinea Cottage's south facing patio garden means that you will hopefully catch a fair amount of sun here.

Guinea Cottage is the perfect location for a small family close to all Weymouth has to offer.

This thriving area called Brewers Quay is the old Victorian brewery situated right at the very heart of the harbour, in Weymouth, Dorset. Much of the grade II listed complex and surrounding brewery buildings date from the late 1800 early 1900’s and many have stones inlaid commemorating their construction year. Now a popular destination with many restaurant’s café and bars making it a vibrant location where you can relax with a drink and watch the world go by. Tucked in the harbourside streets here you will find original Tudor harbour buildings estimated to have built 1600 and well worth a visit, with a very interesting history to share. You will also find the Weymouth Museum, with some incredible facts and artefacts, there is more to this seaside town than meets the eye. The harbour is home to the lifting bridge where you can watch the luxury yachts head out to sea, and then walk over the bridge into the town with it’s winding streets of boutique shops and onto the seafront Esplanade and beach. Brewers Quay is a much loved location in Weymouth.

It’s very well situated for town, beaches and pubs/ restaurants. Great to have a few essentials (washing up liquid, toilet roll, cloths and tea, coffee, little milk cartons and biscuits) available on our arrival although I had taken some of our own. We had a lovely break and hope to return again soon.

On arrival disappointed house location on a hill. This property is not suitable for anyone with walking disabilities. No downstairs loo. The garden very uninviting in need of a makeover. We did have a comfortable stay. We cut our holiday short left on the Thursday. Would'nt return.
