Horncastle is a popular Lincolnshire market town, well known for its antique shops. Near its centre you’ll find John’s Cottage; an ideal base for touring the Lincolnshire Wolds, there’s plenty to see and do all within easy reach.

You can spend a day at the coast enjoying Lincolnshire’s famous seaside resorts or the Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve at Skegness. Lincolnshire is also known as Bomber County and is home to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight visitor centre and is well worth a visit. There is Caldwell Park race circuit (fondly nicknamed the ‘Mini-Nurburgring‘) which plays host to British Superbikes and runs great track days; you’ll find there’s something going on most weekends at Caldwell.

Take a drive into Lincoln and see the city’s stunning cathedral and its famous castle, home to King John’s Magna Carta, or just hang out in the bustling Bailgate area, it’s a beautiful city. Why not take a gentle drive or walk in the Wolds, to spend a little time in one of the many pubs and restaurants on your doorstep, before returning home to Horncastle?
