Part of a stunning 1891 original Victorian manor house, this ground floor apartment is ideally situated for visiting the Essex countryside and coast, with some magnificent walks just outside your door. With beautiful sandy beaches, a picturesque seafront promenade, water sports, a Victorian pier, cliff top gardens, a fun fair, bowling alleys, theatres, and two golf courses, Clacton on Sea is a charming coastal town with a lot to offer. In one of the many restaurants, enjoy the delicious seafood, or wander down the pier to take in the breathtaking sea views. Fly above the coastline while taking some exhilarating flying lessons at Clacton Airfield. The world famous Colchester Zoo comes highly recommended, and Hollytrees Museum is perfect for aspiring historians. Colchester (16 miles) is recognised as Britain's oldest town. Roman history is evident when exploring the quaint cobblestone alleys filled with independent shops. See the charming towns of Dedham and Flatford, which John Constable made famous in his paintings (18 miles). Entering through the shared lobby into the ground floor apartment, hang your coats in the hallway, then make your way through to the lounge/dining room where you can unwind in front of the Smart TV on the comfortable corner sofa. The large bay windows flood the room with natural light, and there are views of the garden to enjoy. The kitchen is well equipped with everything needed to prepare a home cooked meal and dine together at the dining table in the lounge/dining room. There is a snug room next to the kitchen where you can relax with a good book and a cup of tea while admiring the garden views. Back through the hallway, two comfortable bedrooms with zip and link beds can be configured as king size or twins on request. One of the rooms also has a single bed, giving you more flexible choices for your stay. A shower room is located between both bedrooms, and another is located next to the indoor pool. The shared indoor heated swimming pool is a wonderful addition that is completely exclusive to the guests staying in the manor house. There is outdoor furniture so you can sit and enjoy the sun, or light up the BBQ and dine alfresco. The enclosed garden provides a secure area for children as well as dogs to run around and play. Need to know: 2 king size zip and link bedrooms (can be made up as twin beds on request at the time of booking). 2 shower rooms with WC.
