"The Christmas Tree was a nice touch. And the views were stunning. A good time was had by all and the games room was well used."
    Mrs Bateman – 1 Nov 2018
"The table tennis was a great hit with children and adults alike and there was plenty of space for all of us to relax. We had several walks from the house and didn't use the car all weekend. We loved the huge kitchen as it was a very sociable space. The owner was very friendly. A lovely place to celebrate my brother's 40th birthday!"
    Mr Forsberg – 1 Aug 2018
"It has a great social space and numerous rooms to escape to for a bit of quiet too. It was a lovely base for our thoroughly enjoyable long weekend away with friends and family, located in a beautiful part of the world."

"The barn was well equipped with thoughtful attention to the needs of young children. A lovely place!"
    Mrs Gill – 1 Jun 2018
"There were 13 of us and we had a very enjoyable stay at the cottage. All facilities were used and very pleased with our stay. Definitely will recommend this cottage to others."
    Mrs Jurkowski – 1 May 2018
"Very clean and well equipped. We were blessed with superb weather, and sitting outside on the table and chairs was blissful, so peaceful with the birds dashing between the bushes. The surrounding area was very beautiful. The owners of Farmhouse Barn were very helpful and accomodating. Would highly recommend this barn, although not for anybody with mobility issues as there are many stairs."
    Mrs Phillips – 1 Mar 2018
"everything was clearly labelled so we knew where it belonged plenty of space so we weren't on top of one another. The kitchen had everything you needed and Pru our host had supplied things that we were bound to forget like dishwasher tablets loo roll. We took our own music as there was no CD player but there are 2 tvs and dvd players loads of games and books if you came here as a family with kids they wouldn't be bored. Due to snow we unfortunately had to leave early but we had a really great weekend"
    Mrs Tappin – 1 Mar 2018
"Lovely and peaceful in a country location and we made good use of the Cider Farm just 400 yards down the road. The owners were so helpful and nothing too much trouble we only had to ask if we needed to know anything. The 6 grandchildren age ranges between 7months and 12 years old had a lovely time., as did all 12 of us. It was so nice to have a family holiday, also there was a lovely snug room with a TV where us as grand parents could have a quiet 5 minutes if we wanted. It was lovely and clean and the open plan gave it so much space so you were not on top of one another. We would definitely go back for another holiday in fact the children can't wait. One word FANTASTIC!"
    Mrs Lee – 1 Feb 2018
"Eleven of us never felt we were on top of each other. We had everything we needed and lots of extras like toys and games for the children, table tennis table and football table. The setting was quiet and beautiful, if isolated (but that was what we wanted!). The owner was very friendly and helpful. The only difficulty was the number of stairs, which might be a problem for some. Overall this was probably the best home from home we've been to."
    Mrs Entwistle – 1 Dec 2017
"Good quality bedding, crockery and utensils helped to make our stay enjoyable with some luxury. There are stairs to all parts of the house which add to its character and individuality. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and also the walking and cycling that we managed despite the weather. A big thank you to Prue for her welcome and for making the Barn such a good place to stay."
    Mr Pardoe – 1 Nov 2017
"Property is really beautifully converted to a very high standard."
    Mr Owen – 1 Nov 2017
"Situated in a beautiful part of the country, large enough so that everybody could relax and mingle, without feeling hemmed in. The property was clean, tidy, and well equipped for a brilliant weekend. Highly recommended!"

"We had a great time at S2177 celebrating our small family wedding. The barn is well equipped, clean and perfect for family gatherings. The hosts were kind, helpful and welcoming, and although living on the same site and on hand if needed were otherwise respectful of our privacy . Plenty of social space inside and outside. Lovely, peaceful setting with fantastic views. Although not ensuite, the 4 bathrooms were as good as given how close they are to all the rooms (except one). Lots of secure parking."

"Had a lovely time celebrating a "special" birthday with family & friends in a beautiful area - what more could anyone want?"

"We stayed at this a while back and what an awesome place it was. we went as a large group and this barn is made for that. a lot of space and the games room with a table tennis absolutely makes it a fun and relaxing place to stay. Views are amazing if you go for walk. plenty of parking space. Plenty of room outside for a BBQ. Interior was modern and some of the living rooms makes you feel right at home. Poor phone signals but we did not mind, sometimes its good to be away from technology and enjoy the nature. The aroma at night is beautiful. Highly recommended."
    Ms Sarah Crabtree, London,
"The pictures don't do this barn justice. It is in an idyllic spot in immaculate surroundings. The owners were excellent hosts. I can't recommend it enough."
    Mrs Watts-Tobin
"It is a very interesting building which has been beautifully converted with excellent materials and workmanship. Plenty of usable space outside with paddock and lovely views across the valley"
    Prof David Snowden, Marlborough, Wiltshire
"S2177 had good social spaces and was of high quality. The bike storage is a bonus and having two lounges and a games room made life easier where you have different interests."

"I can't rate this property enough! It was beautiful and just perfect for our family get away. The owners were just so very helpful. Nothing was a bother and it was lovely to meet them. The barn was furnished to a high standard and the cooking equipment was spot on, a lot of thought has gone in to planning, organising and maintaining the barn. I am so chuffed with our choice and would love to stay again."
    Mr Nicholas Smith, Reading, Berkshire
"Fantastic place for a big family gathering. Beautiful scenery and walks on the doorstep. Really well equipped barn, we did not need to get any extras even though we came with babies. We would love to come back to explore the area some more."

"Stayed for a week with 10 family members and this barn was perfect. You have a large kitchen and dinning room, 2 living rooms and plenty of bedrooms. Décor is plain and calming and all the space as not to crowd everyone. Location is great for getting away from the crowd and is in walking distance to a cider farm. This place is great for exploring Herefordshire and Wales. The only downside is the outside seating area, this could do with being improved with either slabs or decking, so that you are not walking on gravel. This barn is not suited to people with walking difficulties due to the different floor levels and the WiFI is very poor, but that is not a bad thing."
    Mrs Sherratt
"The house was stunning; it was well furnished with good quality items throughout and the view was beautiful. It was peaceful, spacious and close to larger towns and cities when required. The owners were very friendly and helpful."
    Dr Alan Hayes, Malvern, Worcestershire
"Wonderful. A superb barn conversion in a superb location, just perfect for a family gathering to celebrate a big birthday. Despite the high ceiling the house was warm and comfortable; two living rooms plus the main kitchen/dining area gave us loads of space, all the bedrooms were good sized and there were four bathrooms."

"We've just returned from a wonderful long weekend as part of week-long celebrations for my father's 70th birthday. There were three generations staying at S2177, including an 8 year old and 4 year old and everyone loved the property. It's been beautifully adapted and there is masses of space; adults and children alike loved exploring all of the various rooms and annexes. The kitchen was well appointed and there were plenty of games, including a big ping-pong table and other home comforts to keep us entertained. A word of warning - there is NO phone reception on any mobile network and we had to travel several miles to get any. There is wifi but it is very slow and checking emails etc can take 20 minutes or more! Fabulous if you really want to escape from it all, but if you need connection to the outside world you might be better off staying elsewhere! Most rooms are accessed via various flights of stairs so best for those with full mobility, although there is one bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor with only a couple of steps up to them. Would recommend whole-heartedly to anyone wanting a special home to spend time with friends and family."
Mr Andrew Davis, Birmingham, West Midlands
"The communal areas were spacious, there was a beautiful country feel to the property. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of crockery, glasses, cooking utensils - not to mention the double range cooker! The island was perfect for preparing our pre Christmas family feast! The table tennis was a real perk too. It had comfortable beds with good quality linen. Overall an excellent property."
    Mr Andrew Friedman, Efrat,
"S2177 was a stunning holiday cottage. The view, quiet and fresh air were a terrific respite from everyday life, and you won't find more gracious hosts. Thanks for a great week. S2177 is a terrific location for any rural getaway. We highly, highly recommend it. "

"Beautiful converted barn with everything a large group needs for a holiday. Owners very helpful but not intrusive. Some fresh food from their farm (eggs, fresh vegs, honey, jam) was delicious and a welcome bonus. The large converted barn has lots of steps so not good for disabled. The place is quite isolated - takes about 25 mins drive from Hereford but there is a large paddock to play in, a games room with table tennis and 2 rooms with TVs. Internet is slow/sometims unavailable. Phone service bad too. Great place to get away from it all."
    Mr Peter Charlesworth, Blackpool, Lancashire
"It was the first time that we had visited that area and we were delighted with the Barn. The Golden Valley is a beautiful setting and suited our group very well. The owners made us feel very much at home and were very helpful with all our requests."

"The perfect home for two families to share. A wonderful, large open plan kitchen/diner was the heart of the property whilst the kids loved the table tennis table. The owners offered a warm welcome then left us to enjoy ourselves. Walks from the door and attractions within easy striking distance."
    Mr Watson, Worthing, West Sussex

"My husband and I were both 65 this year and instead of having a party we decided to book somewhere where all the family could join with us for a holiday. So we found S2177 in abbey Dore. It was wonderful. The area was stunningly beautiful; the bedrooms were a good size; the bathrooms were excellent; the kitchen/dining room was very well kitted out and what we liked was the fact that all 10 of us could sit round the large dining table to have our meals. There were two lounges - one with a wood burner which was very cosy. The underfloor heating kept us all nice and warm and best of all we didn't have any extra charges for heating etc; the games room kept the younger children amused (and the adults too!). I would recommend it and our family are talking about recommending it to their friends too..."

"Lovely place, excellent facilities in a beautiful area. Very suitable for family groups with its layout. Facilities for children excellent with toys and books a plenty. Not so easy for pram or buggy access though. It would have been easier if all the exterior doors were able to be opened for access. It was immaculately clean. Owners are extremely helpful, very welcoming and living close by."

"This is a great property, very spacious and full of character. It has all the amenities you need and it's very peaceful.. Ideal for larger group/family holidays. The surrounding area is good for sight seeing. Would come back again sometime."

"The barn we stayed in was absolutely beautiful and was in a lovely setting. Most things we needed were there and the barn has been thoughtfully renovated. There was a large group of us staying and we also rented the property opposite (the granary) for a 30th birthday. Although the property was beautiful I feel it was more suited to a quiet/smaller group. We felt we were constantly watched by the owner ensuring we were behaving etc. There was a lot of us there and I can understand the owner being concerned about her property, but we were always careful and very respectful towards the barn and its contents. The owner made a point of telling us that it wasnt just a holiday rental but also her "home". Which is understandable as her house is just 100 metres away but I feel maybe she should consider stating that the house isn't suitable for party groups. If you have small children I would recommend taking several travel stair gates. Or maybe this is somethingnthe owner may want to think about providing. also could do with sharper knives and more mirrors (full length). There is no phone signal at all and the wifi is extremely slow. So make any important calls before arriving and make sure everyone has directions. I would definately recommend this beautiful barn to families, but I doubt we would returned due to the reasons above, even though we loved this beautiful property."

"We stayed at Farmhouse Barn for the week of the Hay Festival. This was the best of the properties we have used for this purpose over the course of several years. Sparklingly clean, beautifully adapted and with the friendliest of owners it made for an excellent stay for our group of eight friends."

"We stayed in May 2010, a group of old university friends (and one baby). The barn conversion has been done very well, with real thought put into how such a large group might use the space; so there is a massive dining table inside and out, two lounges each with a television and a very large farmhouse kitchen and 3 bathrooms. Also each of the bedrooms is well separated from the others. This allows for different activities to go on without affecting everybody and, although we had fabulous weather, there is more than enough within the barn to allow for rainy days. Highly recommended."
