You can walk alongside the River Rothay and up on to Loughrigg, a rewarding climb to discover the fantastic views across Lake Windermere, Rydal Water and Grasmere. Cosy cottage with all the facilities we needed for a very enjoyable stay. Stunning views from the bedroom, particularly with the snow on the hilltops. Perfect location for walking in the area and within a 2 minute walk of the centre of Ambleside. Onsite parking is a real bonus. We will be back again.

The bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever had. Right in the heart of Ambleside is a big plus. The TV was very basic and could do with a Freeview box being added. Also like most rentals the quilt was very heavy, about 13.5 Tog, too hot for us. On the whole a lovely property.
