The valley is set apart from Lake Windermere by a row of lower level fells, with plenty of space to climb up high and soak up stunning lake views. You'll never be too far from attractions, evening entertainment and sophisticated shopping in Bowness village, with Windermere Golf Club also nearby. From Bowness, Windermere Lake Cruises regularly depart to Ambleside and Lakeside. "

Also within easy reach is the popular market town of Kendal, an historic Lakeland town with a fine reputation for shopping. Kendal nestles on the banks of the River Kent. Its old cobbled lanes and byways branch off the attractive main street, and the stone ruins of 12th century Kendal Castle sit perched on a hill with views over the town. Extremely warm which in the cold weather was brilliant thank you. I personally found the house very accommodating, a lovely place to stay and will certainly check first for availability for a next stay up at the lakes.

It might be worthwhile making clear that the garden is shared with the rental property next door. It could be an issue if a large noisy party were in that property and who commandeered the garden, especially in the summer.
