The conservatory leads to an outside space which is ideal for a spot of alfresco dining or relaxing after a busy day exploring the local areas. The interior is completed by two well-presented bedrooms, comprising of a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, each benefitting from a bright interior and ample storage for a week-long stay. Just a short distance away is the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, where you can hop on board and enjoy a steam railway journey to Lakeside. From Lakeside you can then continue up Lake Windermere on the Windermere Steamer or visit the aquarium, a great idea for a fun day out. This pretty corner of Cumbria is also perfect for exploring the Grizedale Forest which has endless trails and paths through the forest plus a tree top adventure course for the more adventurous. The nearby elegant town of Grange-over-Sands has some excellent shops and tea rooms to enjoy, whilst in Cartmel you will find the ancient priory and the village shop selling the famous Sticky Toffee Puddings, along with the Cartmel races and renowned restaurant L'Enclume, perfect for an evening out. A short walk from the property you will find the Lakeland car museum and Cliffhanger escape rooms. Grimbles Cottage is a lovely cottage to enjoy the beautiful Lake District National Park at any time of the year.

The small village of Backbarrow sits by the banks of the River Leven. The famous Haverthwaite Steam Railway runs close by the village. Enjoy magnificent views across Windermere and the surrounding fells. Bowness-on-Windermere provides a lovely day out, and the picturesque village of Hawkshead still retains the charm and character.
