Take a stroll down to Waterhead and catch a ferry along the lake taking in the sights Windermere before stopping along at the popular towns where plenty of attractions await. Bowness-on-Windermere is home to The World of Beatrix Potter Experience, while Lakeside has the amazing Lakes Aquarium. Head down to Grizedale Forest for epic mountain biking trails and pay a visit the National Trust properties of Hill Top, the former home of Beatrix Potter, and the commanding Wray Castle. The Langdale Valley and Grasmere are more examples of fantastic days out, while the Lake District's highest peak of Scafell Pike is perfect for those who relish a challenge.
