French doors lead out to an enclosed patio garden, here you can enjoy a cup of tea in the morning sunshine and admire the palm tree, which gives its name to this cottage. Caister-on-Sea, just north of Great Yarmouth, is a coastal town on the east coast of Norfolk. Caister-on-Sea is one of the country's oldest cities, with a history reaching back to Roman times. It gets its name from the Anglo-Saxon term 'ceaster,' which means 'Roman fort,' in honour of the fort established in 200 CE as a base for Roman forces. Nowadays, the quaint town is graced with miles of beautiful sandy beaches and is home to a variety of local bars, shops, restaurants, and takeaways, providing guests with all of the necessities. Caister Castle Car Collection, which has over 200 veteran, vintage, and classic automobiles and bikes, will excite gearheads, while the spa at the Old Hall Hotel will lend a touch of luxury to any visit.

Owners super helpful and left a lovely welcome pack including local cake. Cottage well equipped, dogs well catered for, everything clean and comfortable. Excellent WiFi. Stairs very steep but it’s an old cottage. The brief history of the area and the cottage in particular was a really lovely thought and very interesting. Within sight of the beach and if you don’t want to cook, many deliveries are available. Recommend 100%

Parking is a gamble but we were lucky and it was mentioned in the description. Also the stairs mentioned which are tricky especially as the toilet is downstairs so not suitable for anyone with mobility problems. Very suitable for our dog with the excellent beach so close and also large playing fields nearby. Caister classic car museum visit is a must do .Californian beach only 3 miles North is superb for dogs and the California Tavern has the best range of cask beers in the area.Local pubs are nearby but not very attractive. Great fish and chips and Chinese take-a -way within 10 minutes walk. In summary suitable for 2 fit adults with dog for a short stay.
