Tun House in Letheringsett is highly praised for its modern yet homely feel, spacious and well-equipped interiors, and convenient location close to the north Norfolk coast. Guests appreciate the proximity to a welcoming pub and the town of Holt, as well as the thoughtful welcome pack provided. The property is ideal for families and friends, offering a comfortable and stylish base for exploring the local area.
Guests consistently describe the property as spotless and clean, indicating a high standard of cleanliness that contributes to the overall comfort and appeal of the stay.
The property's location is frequently commended for its easy access to Holt, the north Norfolk coast, and local amenities. The adjacent pub is a highlight for many, adding to the location's appeal.
Reviewers find the house very comfortable, with spacious rooms and various communal spaces that cater to both adults and children. The open-plan design and luxurious ambience are particularly appreciated.
The property is well-equipped with everything needed for a break away, including a good kitchen and outdoor space. However, a minor issue with a microwave suggests that while facilities are generally excellent, there is room for minor improvements.
Guests are delighted by the thoughtful touches, such as a welcome pack with treats. While these are warmly received, it is politely noted that such gestures, though common, are not guaranteed for every stay.
Tun House is a luxury Grade II listed barn conversion, forming part of the prestigious Maltings development; one of North Norfolk's landmark historic buildings. Being situated just outside the lovely Georgian town of Holt, and only a short drive away from the coast at Blakeney and Cley-next-the-Sea makes this hideaway the perfect retreat all year round. With secure bikes storage you can enjoy exploring the local area on two wheels
Walk through the double glazed entrance door and the spectacular full-height entrance hall with its tiled floor and stunning feature glazed staircase welcomes you to this fabulous property, and you immediately realise you have a real treat in store. The barn has been fitted out from top to bottom with quality fixtures and fittings, and the whole ambience is one of space and light with a definite nod to luxury living. The open tread stairway leads to the first floor and its fabulous, comfortable and relaxing open-plan living space encased by glazed panels overlooking the entrance hall below. At the far end of the room, a door takes you through to the king-size master bedroom with an en-suite and dressing room. Just outside of this room, a ladder takes you up to a further mezzanine area. Although this is currently unfurnished it is available to be used for whatever takes your fancy - though do please take care, you need a head for heights and the ascent and descent is not for the faint hearted!
Back down to the ground floor, and off to the left of the entrance hall is the open-plan kitchen with dining area. This modern fitted kitchen has full height windows and double doors that fill the space with light. Quality black gloss units with white quartz worktops add a touch of glamour. Integrated appliances and well-equipped cupboards ensure you have everything you need if you like to cook and and enjoy dining-in. There's a choice of seating with a breakfast bar and stools or there's a dining table that everyone can fit around to enjoy a sociable meal together. If you feel in need of a more comfy seat to relax into, there is a sofa here too. At the far end of the entrance hall you will find two more bedrooms (a double and twin) and a bathroom.
Tun House is a rather special place and is perfect for couples and friends, but also ideal for families. One dog is very welcome to stay but 'house rules‘ for dogs must be respected and dogs kept under control within communal areas. The award-winning village pub, The Kings Head is a mere three minute walk from Tun House, with the beautiful Georgian Town of Holt reachable in half an hour by foot, or five minutes by car.
