About this property

Hillcrest is a newly refurbished single storey property situated in the village of Stiffkey with a unique, elevated position affording fabulous views over the Glaven Valley. The owners have also just installed a wrap-around deck area so guests can really enjoy the expansive views over the valley and the big blue skies whilst either sun bathing, barbequing, dining al fresco or star gazing. Perfect for the family the property is set well back from the road on a large plot and children (and grownups) will love the one and half acre untamed garden area to have adventures in. A short walk away are the amazing Stiffkey marshes, perfect for dog walkers and bird watching. The Stiffkey stores is only a stone’s throw away and offers ‘Monmouth’ coffee as well as locally baked cakes and croissants. The Red Lion pub is even closer and serves locally caught seafood and local ales.

Internally the property is charming yet contemporary and retains some original features such as the panelled doors and the original bread oven (ornamental). The new addition of a Charnwood, wood burning stove gives the sitting room a cosy feel.

There are two good sized double bedrooms, and a family bathroom with combined bath and shower with shower screen, basin and separate WC. The kitchen is small but functional and opens up into the dining room and traditional pantry. Hillcrest is a great place to relax and enjoy the surrounding views and is the perfect antidote to busy lives.

Kitchen:
A small but functional kitchen with a traditional cooker, butler’s style sink, microwave, fridge with icebox, views over countryside and gardens.
Bathroom:
Combined bath with shower over. Shower screen. WC and basin.
Bedroom 1:
Good sized room with double bed, bedside tables and lamps. Wardrobe, bedside tables and lamps, Roberts DAB radio. (Please note there is also a set of bunk beds in this room from August 1st 2015)
Bedroom 2:
Another good sized room with double bed, bedside table and lamps, wardrobe, Roberts DAB radio.

The house is situated in a wonderful elevated position in the centre of Stiffkey but well off the main road. There are grounds of approximately one and a half acres. The majority of this area is wild and perfect for children to have safe adventures in. The area around the property has been landscaped with a wrap around decked area which really takes advantage of the views, a great place to dine al fresco or just enjoy a sun downer! The garden furniture is stylish and comfortable. (please note for dog owners the garden is not enclosed) The Red Lion Pub and the village shop are just a few minutes’ walk away as is the coast path down to the marshes. The house is right on the Coasthopper route. There is parking for 5 cars.
