Are you wild at heart? Lose yourself in the woods in this luxury two bedroom hideaway in a wonderfully peaceful and relaxing woodland setting.
The Ferns is a beautifully presented holiday lodge, set amongst 300 acres of woodland and rare open heathland in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The lodge is bright, spacious and comfortable and has all 'mod-cons' with a well-equipped fitted kitchen, two bedrooms (king-size and twin), and two bathrooms. Super insulated and double glazed, you will be kept lovely and cosy in the winter months; in the summer, slide open the large glass doors from the living area, sit on the decked balcony and see if you can identify the birdsong, and maybe spot a deer passing by. Within the Holiday Park you have access to woodland walks, cycle hire, tennis courts (charges payable per hour) and an outdoor swimming pool (open from 25 May until 1 September). For those who wish to keep up their fitness levels in a gym, there is a Fitness Club open every day with various day passes available at an extra cost direct from the site. There are additional facilities in the pedestrian village area where you will find The Forge and Terrace Restaurant & Bar which offer a good range of food. Kelling Heath is very close to the North Norfolk coastal village of Weybourne, and is a wonderful place to do a wide variety of activities or if you just want to sit back and take things easy, it's perfect too. Keen walkers and cyclists will be spoilt for choice with endless pretty woodland trails to explore on foot or bike from right outside the door. The National Trust's Sheringham Park is nearby, expansive Kelling Heath is on the doorstep, and the North Norfolk coastal path is a short drive (or longish walk) away.
