North Walsham is a market town with a rich and varied history. At one time it was a prosperous wool town with the second tallest church tower in Norfolk, as well as being at the centre of a peasants' revolt and home to a school attended by Admiral Lord Nelson. There are a selection of shops clustered around the old market cross in the centre of the town. Lying midway between Cromer and Stalham, there is easy access to the North Norfolk Coast and the Norfolk Broads. The sandy beach at Mundesley is just four miles and there are many places to visit in the area, sure to appeal to all ages.
