Entering the cottage, the sitting room provides a welcome respite at the end of a busy day’s sightseeing, whilst the kitchen next door offers all you need to rustle up a warming supper. A wooden staircase from the sitting area winds up to a shower room and pretty bedroom complete with a quirky bay window and a plush double bed. Easy to find. Provides all you need for a short stay, even for the dogs which is a nice touch. Great host who came to greet us shortly after arrival and make sure all was in order. Our only observation is that it is a bit "compact" but then again, it is a cottage

    E. some poo bags, a towel and treats plus wine, milk and biscuits for the humans! Lots of information regarding the local area and walks etc provided in the cottage. Dog friendly pub within 30 seconds of the cottage which my husband liked as it showed the football too (as it chucked it down with rain on Saturday afternoon). It was cosy and easy to use the heating if needed or the electric heater in the living room. Only very minor niggles - few cobwebs spotted and would have liked some hand soap at the kitchen sink plus maybe some shower gel in the bathroom. Overall a really nice stay, would recommend for location to Raby and Barnard Castles.

Everything we needed was provided, the living room and kitchen were large and spacious and the bedroom and bathroom were very comfortable. The property owner Jo was extremely friendly and helpful . The dogs had a great time too, they especially loved the back garden
