If you fancy a quiet walk or the use of a picnic table in a beautiful setting, access is provided to Allensford Country Park from the entrance gate of Ford Cottage. Within walking distance of the cottage, you will find the local village of Allensford, complete with local cafe. In nearby Derwent Manor, the Prego Restaurant serves something for everyone. Venture a little further to find the beautiful reservoir where you can avail of seasonal fishing, the local Beamish Museum and local historic towns such as Hexham, Corbridge or Durham. If you fancy a picturesque drive towards the coast, you will soon find yourself at the stunning sandy beaches of Whitley Bay and Tynemouth. If you are looking to spend some time in hustle and bustle of a city, Newcastle upon Tyne is just a short drive away. Visit this vibrant metropolis and you will find an incredible range of shops, restaurants and entertainment with something for everyone. Enter the cottage through the French doors to be greeted by the main open plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a large three seater sofa, one cuddle chair and one high backed armchair. You will have everything you need to feel right at home, including a wood burner. Add to this the four seater table and kitchen including electric oven and hob, fridge, and table top freezer. The master bedroom, with en suite shower and WC, comes complete with a double bed, ample storage and a TV. A stone feature wall, rocking chair and armchair add to the charm of this room. The second bedroom is a double bed with an en suite shower room with WC. A beautiful main courtyard is shared with the owners who live close to the property. A patio area, with table and chairs, is divided off for guests and benefits from a fitted sunshade. Additionally there is off road parking for one car.
