Spend a day on the sand at Alnmouth (11.5 miles) or head to Warkworth (13.5 miles) for a sea swim, and visit the majestic castle. For a day of inland adventures, travel 21 miles to The Cheviot, the highest point in the Northumberland National Park, where your climb is rewarded with panoramic, far-reaching views. Just 16.5 miles away, Wooler is known as the gateway to The Cheviots and is a great place to begin your walk.
