About this property

Settled into the town centre of Bamburgh, within easy reach of local amenities and attractions, Kittling Nook is the ideal family getaway to Northumberland. Park off-road and unpack with ease into a delightful cottage set over a single storey and find yourself in a light and airy open-plan living area, a fantastic social hub for all guests to enjoy. The living area sports a sitting area beside the welcoming glow of a woodburning stove, and glass double doors opening up onto the patio, where a tasteful outdoor sitting area offers a spot for evening relaxation with a glass of your favourite beverage in the warmer months. Behind the sitting area you will find a spacious kitchen with contemporary grey furniture housing many home-from-home amenities to cater to your culinary needs, and a dining table so guests can enjoy a meal together. The stylish feel of the living space is continued into two lovely super-king-size bedrooms, which can both be set up as a twin on request, beginning with a super-king-size with tasteful furniture and a handy en-suite, and a second super-king-size with storage, accompanied by a family bathroom. Dine alfresco in the garden where a selection of outdoor seating creates a space for you to relax and enjoy the sea breeze. Bamburgh is simply stunning, with beautiful coastal walks, a sandy beach where you can enjoy watersports, picnics and wild swimming and the magnificent Bamburgh Castle, which is well worth a visit. The town centre offers a host of eateries, ideal for tasty meals out, as well as a deli where you can stock up on essentials and sample local produce. Travel a little further and you can enjoy a coastal trip at Seahouses with Serenity Farne Island Boat Tours, or if you love history then visiting Holy Island is a must, where you will not only find loads of shops, eateries and a sandy beach, but a great selection of museums and historical sites including Lindisfarne Priory, Lindisfarne Castle and Castle Point Lime Kilns. Make a seaside getaway to remember with the lovely Kittling Nook.

The village’s sweeping sandy beaches and dramatic fortress - Bamburgh Castle - make Bamburgh one of Northumberland’s major visitor attractions. The castle can be seen for miles and dominates this part of the county’s coastline. Today it remains home to the family of the great Victorian industrialist Lord Armstrong, and is open to the public on a daily basis. Although overshadowed by the great castle, Bamburgh village is picturesque with neat grey stone cottages facing a manicured village green. There are excellent pubs, hotels with restaurants and a small selection of village shops. There are golf courses in Bamburgh and nearby Seahouses, and within easy reach are more wide sandy beaches, lovely fishing villages, stunning castles and coastal islands to explore along the dramatic Heritage Coast. There are numerous other attractions also a short drive away, including the famous Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the historic walled border town, Berwick-upon-Tweed. A superb base for exploring Northumberland.

A few minutes walk to the beach, which is so beautiful. The accommodation has everything you need, so you only need to take food and drinks. The beds are huge and comfortable and the place is cosy and really clean. We would definitely recommend.
